I am waiting to see if one of these cheaper raw talents pan out. If some do, it would be awesome. Btw, by pan out let's not exclude the possibility of loaning them or making serious profits off them if they aren't good enough for the first team.

What a shame we didn't have money to spend on an Ekitike or Sesko last summer.

This is why I keep yapping on and on about how we need to be able to sign an experienced top class CB this summer. Whether it is Upamecano, Konate on free transfer or Schlotterbeck for 50-60m. Maybe even Bastoni, but highly unlikely Inter let him go.

You lose opportunities like these and there is no guarantee you can get a better alternative or even someone as good a year later.

We're now in 2026 and there's no ascending young striker worth signing that you could argue would start for us. Nor would they have a Robert Lewandowski to learn from either.

Konate and Upamenco suck, they wouldn't improve us for shit.

Upamecano doesn't suck. Konate has not been good this season, but you could probably say that for most of that Liverpool team.

Maybe you could wait until 2027 and go for Bastoni since his contract runs out in 2028, but then you need a guarantee he won't renew.

Young inexperienced talents like Jaquet and Leny Yoro are being sold for 60m.

What we need is experience in the backline.

Last day in the Mercato is today, One won't deny that he had hoped that Deco had something to pull from his sleeve but ffp is clearly fucking us.
We were supposed to complete 5 youth signings this winter:

Three Barca B signings:
Hamza Abdelkarim (18) Officially on loan from Ahly, with buy option, it is official now. CF from Egypt.
Juwensley Onstein (18): We bought him officially from Genk, Dutch CB.
Patricio Pacífico (19): He has done his medical and reports say he has trained individually with the Barca Atletic side, the most experienced among those players. Is yet to be announced, might have been completed but waiting for paper work which could take weeks but doesn't affect registration.

2 Juvenil A signings:
Yusuf Rassul Ndjai (18): Senegalese player from Terrassa FC, no news on him, not even a transfermarket profile.
Ajay Tavares (16): British winger with Portuguese passport, will join from Norwich.

I think for Juvenil A, we don't need to register players today. Not 100% sure though

And there is another Barca Atletic loan signing that isn't "youth" one:
Joaquín Delgado (24) : He was top scorer of 3rd division, has moved to our team in 4th division and scored 3 goals already. Very good addition, but he is the same age as Pau Victor whom we signed in 2023, so tough to get excited about him.

In addition, we are pushing to finalize two other transfers, likely for the summer:
Jesse Bisiwu (18): Talented winger from Brugge , Ruud Nijstad (18) talented LCB from Twente.
Main issue is that they are from fairly big clubs, and it seems they are pissed that their renewals might be stalled thanks to us, I hope they won't be benched due to that.
There is also Cardoso Varela in Dinamo, but I've a feeling we will pass on signing him.
