Those runs he is making in behind seems like something they are working on and to provide more threat when teams are pushing high trying to suffocate Pedri/Frenkie and also to show ball to defenders who are weak on it setting traps.

Starting to see him ramp up his game after the pubalgia issue cropped up - all about load management in his recovery because I am still not convinced he is 100%
All those times he is reluctant to beat his marker or take shots from outside the box are related to both the power he needs to generate using his hips and to get that explosive burst from a stand still

First touch then immediately a step over to beat defender and create a big chance.
Easily best in Europe now.
Also notice he moves to central more and more in recent games. Flick probably makes that instruction.
