While our Midfield & Attack looks quite fresh and rested, unlike last year.
I am not happy at all with Yamal's & Defence's numbers. If things stay the same, we are going to get the same fatigue, like last year during the crucial UCL matches.
Also most of the MFs rest can be attributed to the rise of Eric this season. Without him I am sure a lot of players will be playing quite a bit more. Flick needs to somehow rest him. He will be needed during the April months of the season.
Kounde's minutes is the reason why we all wanted a backup fullback. He isn't playing well, but on top he is being overplayed, so you can be sure he will underperform massively in the upcoming UCL knockout fixtures. I hope Cancelo mitigates this, but there is a high chance he's a Balde backup.
Cuba is again being overplayed, but we are so thin at the back that I don't know what solution we have.
Flick needs to start playing Casado more. Yes, he has been subpar, but he showed he was good last season, maybe a string of easy games will do good for him and us. Its imperative for us that he takes some minutes off Eric & FDJ. Both are essential for our success.
Roony has to play more, there's no ifs or buts. He just has to. He has shown he has quality, he just needs to be trusted. A rested and hungry Yamal is the factor that takes us to winning ways in UCL. Roony has to take at least 500 more minutes from him. So in total, 1500' of play at the end of the season from Roony is what I am looking for.
Happy with Rashford's numbers, he is doing exactly what I wanted from a backup. Raphinha is well rested, albeit because of injury, but a rested Raphinha is the it factor in intensity during those UCL nights.
All in all, the problem remains the same as last years. Overplayed Fullbacks and defence. Which might become our Achilles heel around the March April period of the season. Deco is to blame for it. No one else.
