Real have been a lot worse since 2020 the previously despite CL wins.

Far lower level.

They won those like Di Matteos Chelsea won it.. winning matters but they were nowhere near that previous Real sides.

Lower yes but not far lower in my opinion
But the fact that Real Madrid and Barcelona are now worse can also be seen in the gap to the other teams compared to before.

Don't expect anything tonight. Madrid is a bit better in form again and Villareal failed many tests this season already. Their placement looks better than they actually are.

RM all over them so far. Crazy how that Gueye lad looked like one of the best players in the AFCON, but back at Villarreal, he’s trash.

This is very much like Monaco. Real losing a lot of balls but Villarreal unable to make any use of it. Will definitely get spanked here probably by more goals. But Madrid by far the better team no doubt
