Damn MAtS really starts. Maybe Deco asked Flick to do it, so the clubs can see he's not an invalide to buy him in winter.

Other than that, I'm happy Flick doesn't overdo with rotation, these games can be more difficult than you think. Bayern got knocked out in the DFB cup the last couple of years a few times by lower division teams. One game, no VAR. If you lead 3:0, you can rest players.

Shocking news on Mats

Interesting attacking setup, wonder how it will work - there’s clearly been chemistry issues in that final third, only worsened by the injuries

I think this is where I am most curious to see how Flick & staff devise tactical adjustments to get Lamine more joy playing centrally more - he is the best on that right wing but he’s been limited with opponents overloading his flank more & more

Still say he is lacking a flair partner to combine with but all of these scenarios are heavily predicated on chemistry. And anyway you slice it, Lamine will be the catalyst of this Barça - have to build the team around him to maximize sporting success of team. Player is also still not 100% and owing to the nature of the injury, his explosion/burst has decidedly looked more subdued

But this attacking lineup looks exciting nevertheless

Love these late midweek matches with no camera angle at all. Especially if it's 0-0 until late in second half or if we concede first.
I love to look at the "graphic" stats of these kind of matches. One team has it like a tsunami wave, other doesn't have a single dot... Then you look at the score board and it is 0:0 or 0:1... Wtf is the reaction ,🤣

Soto did everything in his power to keep Guadalajara in the match from failing to award penalties, book players much less fouls or shirt pulls which were happening throughout. The pitch may have looked ok from average streams but it was really poor quality and players complained after the match. There was one moment where a 5 meter rolling pass from midfield to Lamine on the RW actually jumped up before arriving as it hit a very uneven mound on the pitch - shocking really

The pitch alone made it difficult to gain much rhythm and no VAR meant it was an uphill battle anyway

I didn’t think Fermin was effective enough on that LW and even as the attacking front 4 of Roony, Lamine & Rashford were moving around a lot there is clearly a lack of fluidity in the attacking third. Flick continues to search for solutions

Eric was great and while Jofre wasn’t really tested defensively or add much offensively, he was very comfortable dribbling/passing out of pressure. Rashford is a gem, very happy he in the team and I can’t wait until he really finds his rhythm in this offense
