I’m not sure what you’re referring to? You’re on a forum dedicated to a Spanish football club. Thus, you should be well aware that Europe was largely civilized by the Amazigh, African Muslims from the Maghreb known during the European Middle Ages as the Moors, who ruled in the Iberian Peninsula from 711-1492. Not only did they lay the foundations for Christian Spain (established between 1469-1516 CE), but also the wider European Renaissance, through the introduction of mathematics (Algebra, Arabic word), classical philosophy (translated classical Greek philosophy into Latin for wider consumption amongst European clergy), university systems, regular bathing, central plumbing, etc.

The Moorish presence in Spain was contemporaneous with the Viking incursions upon northern Europe—the contrast between these two groups’ civilizing features was stark. Islamic Iberia possessed state institutions, universities, libraries, hospitals, taxation systems, public sanitation, and monumental architecture while Viking polities were mostly isolated to raids and runes. Mind you, proto-writing systems didn’t emerge in northern and Eastern Europe until the 6th century BCE (Celts) and 2nd century CE (Germanics) respectively, was derivative of Mediterranean and/or Christian script, while literacy did not become widespread until well after the Middle Ages. In contrast to Africa, one of the cradles of civilization, where writing was developed independently and literacy has been widespread for millennia.

You are an absolute idiot. There was a Gothic Christian kingdom in Iberian peninsula before Muslim African invaders came. Won't even comment on other nonsense you picked up from some jihadi group.
Fuck off to Qatar forum and I better not see you spouting more of your drivel.

They didn’t leave the Iberian Peninsula until 1492. 1200 is 250 years before the formation of Spain.
At that point the only Muslim territory left is Granada, and they were a vassal to Castile (Catholic kingdom).

The Emirate of Granada continued to exist until 1492 though, yes, but after 1230-1240 this was the only Muslim state left in the Iberian Peninsula and they were under some degree of control by the Christians.

Most of the territory had been lost in the 12th and 13th century, and unified Muslim rule fell apart in the 11th century after the collapse of the Ummayads. So the main reference for the Islamic rule in Spain would be between 700-1100 or so, but after that Iberia was split into various kingdoms and states.

I take that as conceding defeat. Why would you need AI to figure out that Arabic numerals originate from India and not the Muslim world, you literally learn it in first grade lmao. But maybe you also believe that French fries originate from France, Panama Hats come from Panama and Guinea Pigs originate from Guinea.
