This argument could have been resolved few pages ago. FC Barcelona statutes state "maximum of two consecutive" terms. Laporta already served two back-to-back terms in 2003-2010.
Also I think the term was shortened from 6 to 5 years. Meaning Laporta can run again in 2036.

The examples he said was for guys who either brought a puppet while he is de facto ruler, or a guy who is running none stop.
And he was taking a shot on Perez, who essentially killed the chance for anyone to oppose him while he is preparing to sell part of the club.
