Pedri will always be better than de jong but that doesn‘t mean that de jong is bad. He is world class. No need to talk bad about him, we should be glad to have both

Pedri is world class and he's nowhere near Pedri.

Move on.

Pedri is top class in position you claimed he shouldnt play and think likes of Casado should have started today.

Not a clue.

If it were up to me, I would trade De Jong for Valverde. Barca needs an athletic and hardworking midfielder who can run all day long and be a physical presence in the midfield. Unfortunately, De Jong poses none of these qualities.

Valverde is up there with Rodrygo as being one of the most overrated footballers in world football, let alone La Liga.

Would genuinely rather have Eric as my CDM than that once in a blue moon long shot merchant.

Valverde was one of the best players with ancelotti. Every year, and with kroos beside him he was great. He is not creative but he is the best box-to-box midfielder you can get but he needs a pedri type player beside him, otherwise he is not good because the midfield doesnt have creativity.
Valverde at barca would make us much stronger and also de jong would make real much stronger but it is impossible that a real player plays for barca and vice versa.

Just the fact that i dont know if valverde can play pressing is the unknown variable

I'd easily sell him if we get a good offer. He's been alright for us, but he isn't getting any younger and his wage is way up there - second best paid in the club. There are many interesting midfielders out there I would rather have...

Valverde is about worst type of player to play beside Pedri.

He has no positional sense or awareness to play that role to let Pedri have more freedom and been at best for Real wider.

Even Real fans dont rate him all that much when tries to play disciplined.

He is a poor man's Steven Gerrard.

Quick, good engine and can strike a ball but no idea how to dictate a game or play disciplined in middle of park next to player with more freedom.

Vast majority of time Frenkie and Valverde have played in midfield v one another in recent years Frenkie has ran rings round him.
