Game went south the moment Araujo was sent off. Our chances got reduced to 0 that moment.
It is impossible in contemporary football to survive 10v11 let alone carrying passengers like Traktor

I would only draw conclusions up until 43' or so

why wasn't rags subbed 0 to 3 min after the red

Flick OUT

who cares if we make it through. its obvious that this season is a bust. obvious since September.
we are receiving the xavi situation. Good first season, bad second. sacked in third at most.
I honestly like more Chelsea players than Barca's currently, so I don't really mind them wining. Also hope Enzo smashes it with messi in the WC.

Money wins, seen it with City, PSG and now Chelsea; after buying and shipping players like a human trafficking cartel, they are finally putting it together.

We aren't going to challenge with that backline and no budget. Flick has done all he can, time to move on and start the ex-Barca DNA only manager merry-go-round for another decade of CL humiliations.

not much different than this non barca dna manager. it's not a one dimensional issue. we have a bad season, instead of building on the last great one. last seasons barca smashes this Chelsea.

Not that difficult by having a pool of 50 players to choose from. We don't play by the same rules. Give Flick the same amount of budget and he builds you a way stronger team.
Certainly, and this is something we oftentimes forget: Flick is doing a good job despite tonight’s loss with the players he has available. Not that our squad is bad, all things considered, but he’s managed to raise the game on several key players.

With that said, teams can invest 100s of millions every season and still underperform if the manager isn’t a good fit or over his head. This Chelsea manager outclassed us tonight, and currently sits second in EPL, so he must be doing something right. Really enjoyed watching Chelsea play too.

Red card didn’t help, of course.

High line is designed to leverage a strong attack. We just don't have a strong attack outside the starting 11 all fit and in form. It's clear as day that it benefits our opponents more than us for our current state. Attackers need to be good enough and sharp enough to deserve this strategy.
Weaker la liga is hurting us. Player potential based on lal liga performance is not indicative of their actual level in CL.
There's still some hope for this season if Raphinha comes back all guns blazing, Pedri returns in peak condition and our core sustains no further injuries.
Araujo's only value was as a squad player for low intensity la liga teams. If they can't restrict him to just that and strip him of captaincy he needs to be shipped.
Balde & Cubarsi got turned inside out. Granted our setup is designed to expose defenders which means unless you are perfect you're dead. Flick overplayed his hand here. This season our defenders are being targeted strategically, we no longer have the element of surprise. If he wants to continue this against CL teams that know we are going to do this squad needs huge investment. Otherwise we need a change in tactics. Entire defense line looking this bad is demotivating for everyone.

Ultimately there's no two ways about it, we need money injected in the squad. A lot of it. Not sure when it'll happen. If that won't happen Flick is probably not the guy for us anymore.

I said the other week, Chelsea are not weaker than Barcelona on paper..

Stronger squad and first 11 probably equal. They're only missing an out and out natural goal scorer... 11 vs 11 Chelsea were a bit better, but 11 vs 10 makes it impossible task.
