Agree, he struggles against excellent fullbacks it is not the first time we have seen this. Just says that he is not up there yet. Still have a lot to learn, but is he conscious of that, this I wonder....

we have been bombarded with comparisons to messi to the point of believing them. couldn't be further away from messi. sorry to bust the bubble. it's not this game either. it's the whole season. it's the whole attitude and in the end, the pure talent.
we will be lucky if he does stay fit and does reach his full potential but we are doing hom no favour by comparing him with all time greats.

Should stop being a clown on social media, and deliver in big matches like he used to.

I want to be positive, but he doesn’t have the right mindset/ surroundings to make it to all time great level.
He hasn't posted shit after that Real game though, how long are we going to use that as an excuse?

He just had brilliant game against Bilbao and everyone here kept screaming how he is back. And now suddenly he is shite again. Reactionary much, eh?

He just got outclassed by world class veteran Cucurella, just like everyone else from our team got outclassed in their position. He is 18yo, he is bound to have these off games where veteran players are going to teach him a thing or two.

He needs an actual RB for support to unlock him. Even Balde being a clown, if he was a RB, we'd see a much improved Yamal.

Teams know Kounde barely poses any threat.

Also the morons crying about an insta story in regards to Cucu, it's clearly healthy banter between 2 NT mates.

I was only cautiously optimistic after his Bilbao game but always said that tougher games like today are the real test.

Another thing that's very obvious with all-time greats or especially amongst GOATs are the insane physical attributes.

For Messi, he was exceptionally strong on the ball/his feet, probably the best acceleration with the ball at his feet in his prime, crazy agility and durability against tackles.

Yamal is basically like an upgraded Mahrez from the physical gifts standpoint.

This is a very good post

But I feel he just gave up in second half. Sure it was basically game over after red card but he should keep fighting, especially on those counters

Messi also was a natural goalscorer and finisher. Had predatory instincts in and around the box.

Eh.
Not sure what people want him to do.
Barely touched the ball and when he did there was simply no outlet in the midfield to combine with or someone able to make a run in behind since it takes Lewandowski a leap year to get going.
