24 - Eric García

Man, he even managed to surprise me. And I am his fan.

Just goes to show how will and dedication goes a long way when fighting for your club.
Not ONLY will and dedication - imo dude has great vision "a la" Busi, very good technique etc. He actually does remind me a little bit of Busi in some aspects of the game - his football IQ paired with his technique is a nice combo to have. But CB is his worst position, DM (and maybe CM) and RB is where he really shines, I'd actually start him on DM. Right now Garcia, Frenkie and Pedri is fucking golden starting midfield - better than any other team at the moment.

I don't mind him at CB myself but it's clear at DM/Fullback he's different gravy.

I think part of it is he has more freedom and leeway at RB/DM in some aspects such as defending and isn't chained to certain moves at CB that can penalize him if he makes a mistake.

At DM he can move around a lot more as well.

He should start with FDJ in the double pivot. Pedri can come on later in the game if he makes it.
Fermín in the 10, simply better than Olmo at the moment and brings loads of intensity.

he was great this game. all season he has played good games. but CB is not the position he should play. is he our new Sergi Roberto?
I think it's a fair comparison. Roberto ended up being moved out of Central Midfield and found his true calling at RB and filling in as a swiss army knife here and there.

Garcia developed into a decent CB but it's clear that he's on another level at RB and looks like a stud in the Midfield as well. Eric clearly has a lot more tools in the box as well with the ball.

Maybe he is another Roberto
