20 - Dani Olmo

“It’s not pleasant to have your name associated with so many injuries. Ultimately, I’m following a training method to prevent these situations,” he told Onda Cero.
“I believe, one hundred percent, that it’s working well for me; in the end, it’s football, and you can’t control everything. I want to train more on the field and in the gym for injury prevention. It’s about finding a balance of what’s working.”

Problem is Leipzig are a low pressure club. Barca is completely different.
Be serious now. When a player fails all kinds of weird explanations are offered as to why

But in this case I don't know what is it that indicates Olmo folded under pressure in this club, being also an academy graduate and very familiar with everything surrounding this club

The problem is simply injuries. If not for injuries, Olmo would be an unbelievable signing. But that's a huge if, because we knew of his injury history when we signed him, and ignored it or rather hoped it would magically stop, which turned out to be false. So we only have ourselves to blame

And regarding Olmo, I saw he had a really good game vs Turkey. Wasn't that bad vs Celta either. Finally some positive signings. I'm willing to bet if he can endure some more time without picking up an injury, he will be back to form again. But it is highly unlikely he will endure. Soon after the int break he will be injured again probably

Nah man, big club is completely different. Good performances are expected and elite level is demanded. Some rise to the new challenge and welcome it, most prefer the peacefullness and more stress free life of a lower pressure environment. It is very much tied to personality, guts, ability to withstand pressure and stress. Players and managers alike are likely to suffer making the transition to a club that has to deliver titles or shit hits the fan quickly. Luckily for players, only 4-5 clubs are of this type. Barca, Madrid, Bayern, PSG are the clubs that would quickly turn on you if you proved nothing in the big stage as a player.

Barca, Madrid, Bayern because they are historical giants, PSG because their Qatari owners became ruthless after their initial 10 year galactico wannabe plan blew in their face.

Not really, we all tought that a year ago but he's been mostly fit lately and has been playing worse than ever.
Well when you constantly get injured main problem is mental, even when you come back. You play scared of getting injured again and without confidence, because you don't feel like part of the team

He's been injured his entire career.

We knew this when we signed him.

So again why did we?
