Seems latest Messi post with Camp Nou visit already reached 30m likes, more than "most famous person in the world's" most liked post (winning Nations League). You liked it yet @fati?

Beating "records" without even trying, and I'm sure the only one who actually cares about this is CR himself who must be seething.

Lionel Messi, to @sport:

Do you still follow Barcelona's matches now? Messi: “Yes, of course! Especially since many of us players [Alba, Suarez, Busi] are still together now. We always talk and share our thoughts about what’s happening at the club, discussing the results and the way they play.”

Hearing their unfiltered discussions would be very satisfying.

Tbh, i didnt like Cristiano's NL win post even though i follow him at Insta, imo you cant measure fame by likes as there are many ppl outside who just watch the pics/videos without liking it 😬 but great photos from Leo 👍🙂

Don Juan Laporta Estruch

Basta yaaaaaaa, Cabron ! y Bona nit 🥂
I still have a dream. That the new stadium they attach a huge statue of this to the roof.

View attachment 11188

They then have a lever where you can move the statue 90 to 180 degrees down so it is literally looming over the pitch. A world first.

Imagine how much money it would bring as a tourist attraction as it penetrates the Barcelona skyline like a modern day Statue of Liberty.

The players can look up to the skies during difficult games and get the inspiration they need. And even better, when the sun is out, there will literally be a shadow of the GOAT on the pitch.

Legendary.

I have not given up on this dream. :messi:

Laporta will undoubtedly have to bring Leo back into the fold, fully. Elections, hopefully, won't impact the eventual outcome of bringing Messi back into the Barça family

What I like is that Joan has learned from his past mistakes to promise something he couldn't ultimately deliver on with Messi's renewal - he understands better now that with La Liga & the elusive FFP approval for anything related to the club will require waiting for Fall 2026 for stadium & VIP to be validated

From there, I am certain that Messi is a major goal for Laporta to recoup - whether it's a statue, farewell tribute or even potential last dance loan. It remains the one thing he will not let end this way, I am confident he will do what he can and I believe Leo's return (in any capacity) is closer

Think it's more a case of him not having anything to gain from lying in this case, than him learning from past mistakes.

Would surprise me if he wouldn't lie and use Messi to win an election all over again if he were to go back in time.

Its really kind of crazy that we are probably living through peak sports over the last decade or two.

Messi
Ronaldo

The 3 tennis goats

Lewis, max, even Micheal if we pushing it back far enough.

Lebron, curry

Bolt, phelps

I'm probably forgetting a few. All top 5-10 in their respective sports.

What's even crazier is messi sits at the top of that table, and all they guys will probably fan out if they met him 😂.

The mother sucker was just toooo good as a football player.

I don’t think he has anything to gain by lying, especially with respect to Messi - that has been the point of his response

Most may have assumed he would try to milk or dangle it but I also think it’s implicit he learned the impact of even giving the illusion of a deal on the player’s camp in particular - that first Messi respect point in his response was intentional. I liked that a lot, on top of his complete response

Laporta is happy to knock any attack out of the park if faced with it but a Messi one, he has clearly learned - even on the statute talk, you can see how he has framed the discussion. Predicated on respecting Leo

That’s why am I convinced Joan finally corrects this error that all cules can agree remains painful…and by error here I only refer to making promises he couldn’t ultimately keep, not because he intended to deceive as the cynics cling to
