I don't think he is. Two managers in a row are benching him game after game. During his 5 seasons with Juve he never scored more than 18 goals in a single season. Just stay away from this bum and let someone else take the bait.

We have a good backup in Torres so our next No.9 should be either a world class striker (someone like Alvarez or Kane) or we should keep the money.

I agree, most of these names aren't even better than Ferran and 50 year old Lewa. Only Alvarez is really a big step up. Others are on a similar level, worse or too old.

Last thing this club needs is a project at #9.

Ekitike would have been nice in hindsight, but Liverpool are some greedy bastards.

Ideally, yes, but those kinds of players are really expensive and the market for strikers is incredibly bad.

It'll probably be in summer 2027 where we will probably spend big I assume.

For now, the most realistic approach is that will probably be taken is having Ferran Torres as the main #9 and execute the buy option of Rashford and have him as the backup striker for the 26/27 season. We need to be ready for any good talents in summer 2027.
