Xavi would probably do a better job to be fair. Man Utd need pragmatism right now and charisma with the players. He brings that.

Ole had the best results of recent, and he was far from a good manger.

While these guys like Amorim and Then Haag were too heroball. With the hero, being them, and the bull, being everyone else.

Xavi failure here more than anything was refusing to build a world class management team to aid him. You would hope that outside of the Barca environment, that he would broaden his coaching team next time around with more experience.

Unless of course he goes back to an Arab team. Of which he will bring his Brother and Co. But Saudi wouldn't be as cushy as before. They want instant gratification and you can be out of a job there as quickly as you are in one.

United let Ham bring in coaching staff who were younger than some of the players. Doubt they'll make the same mistake again but pretty sure Xavi wouldn't budge much on his staff.

He should boot his bro to third and get an assistant like Lillo.

Then the fitness staff and drilling staff can be some new age tech kids for all I care.

He has shown enough to be given the job.

It's will be interesting to see who city want to follow up after pep.

Flick and Enrique will be at the top of the list if they are available, I would think.
Vincent Kompany would be the top choice for Man City, he is one of their own and in two years time (when Guardiola's contract expires - June 2027) he will be probably available..

Xavi is back!

“This time, collective titles weighed more heavily. For me, of course, he deserved it. So did Vitinha, Salah, Pedri, and Raphinha… many players deserved it. But in the end, titles count more. Lamine will win it, I’m convinced — but when his team wins the Champions League or a World Cup.”

Xavi then recalled Yamal’s debut and the first impressions that made him realize he was witnessing something special:

“I feel very proud of what Lamine is doing and of having given him the chance to make his debut. I saw him as very prepared despite being fifteen. He was very confident, very capable, making a difference in training. He wasn’t afraid of anything. From the very first day, he stood out. For me, he’s one of the chosen ones and can define an era in world football. He has no complexes, no fear whatsoever.”
The former Barça midfielder admitted that Yamal’s potential was clear to everyone on his coaching staff from the beginning:

“Yes, without a doubt. We said it among the staff — we said he was Ballon d’Or material. Watching him train, you could already see something different. You immediately realized he was one of the chosen ones.”
