Atletico and to some extent Marseille are the only two sides this season that have had enough in their team to try and attack the weaknesses in the Alonso set up.

It is on Alonso to tweak it and adapt.

"Tweak it". One thing is certain, these jobs like Real and Barca are special. No room for much mistakes. You have to play well and win. It's no Leverkusen where you're an underdog.

So, in big games so far

PSG 4-0 (could have been much much more, french pussies backed down)
Atletico 5-2 (the fact those idiots got that result speaks volumes of the opposition)
Dortmund 3-2 (won but with extreme luck, chaotic finish with an impossible courtois save in last second)
Juve 1-0 (won the shitty Juventus barely with some header goal)

2 unimpressive wins and 2 absolute humiliations

We need to see them in action against serious opponents. But they can go a long way with stability they have vs lower teams. Question is if that stability remains when bigger teams keep battering them and confidence derails

Wouldnt put too much focus on Club World Cup.

PSG got hammered by Chelsea and that isnt happening if they meet in CL.

CWC didn't matter but Madrid definitely wanted to beat the Champions. No question. I would put value to that game exactly.

Final PSG were cocky as **** and lost. Didn't expect any fight from Chelsea, who was playing for their life.

Teams were trying to balance it off against pre season.

They would like to win it just like PSG would like to have beat Chelsea but still wouldnt put importance on results.

You're welcome
They have in previous games.

Lets see if right or wrong by time season ends.
I just realized that in my analysis I forgot about trent and his injury. He wasn’t there for marseille game either(played 5 min).

How much impact does this have on outcome?

Ill stick to my guns regardless.
