Only these folks here can have the audacity to say that they completed football

Only 4 of them actually.

6 don't hold a Copa Catalunya.

I just came here and first thing I saw was PSG plays in a more competitive league 😂😂

Ventura is trying waaaay to hard.

He's the reasons why fans celebrated PSG not winning the CL for years despite spending billions on that pursuit, lucky for them they saw the light and brought in some Barca and Spanish magic to finally deliver.

It's great that you brought up Yamal performances against Inter, cause I felt we approached that game in a messed-up way compared to PSG, who killed Inter and made them look like amateurs

Now let's check for decisiveness together objectively.

Yamal had 20 successful dribbles, 3 key passes, 17 shots, and 1 goal with zero assists across 2 legs
Dumfries had 4 successful dribbles, 5 key passes, 2 shots, 2 goals, and 3 assists across 2 legs

Who between Yamal and Dumfries was more decisive across the two legs, objectively?

Now, Dembele played one game against Inter and had 0 dribbles, 4 shots, 3 key passes, and 2 assists.

Decisiveness is about being effective and moving forward.
Ah yes, the old "goal and assist are all that matter". Yet Yamal was the best player across two legs vs Inter. He drove the team forward and it was only the defense that let him down.

And you don't even care for Barca's domestic success. Winning all trophies against Real Madrid must be less impressive than Qsg winning Ligue 1 agaisnt Nante for you.

I'm sure Yamal was the highest rated player in Europe last season, by stats (Whoscored for example). So no need to bring number to discredit Yamal's effort.

PSG played a better game than us vs inter, a much more mature game.

But in no form, shape or way was dembele better than yamal vs inter.

Only thing that game showed was that Enrique was a better coach than Flick last season.

That makes two players that won balondor dor after Laporta lies got them punted in the last 5 years.

Maybe Yamal or Pedri can win it.. two players at club before him.

Don't see much reasons to hate on Demebele tbh. Good guy, bad luck he came here as a stupid kid.

Besides, PSG did nothing until some Barca legend came over there to teach them how to play. These oil clubs with all their money still needed Pep and Lucho to be relevant.

They at least had the humility to accept it. In the end it's same old approach. Go to proper school of football and be a student. They are now paying for proper football education and are growing as a club.

As for Dembele, he would have stayed at the club had we had the funds to keep him. He valued himself highly, and he was right.

Surely people now think, or should think that the club should have made him staying a priority. We didn't value him enough and thought he will forever be young and dumb. The lad proved them wrong. Aged like a fine wine really.

Xavi gets credit for seeing how good a player Dembele would be but was fucked over by Laporta running his mouth.

Dembele had agreed a contract.. Laporta ran his mouth and he went back on it.

Barca had plenty money to afford to keep Dembele they chose to spend it elsewhere and pissed him off with lies.

Only Barca would spend 150m on a player in mid 30s and lose a player who gets balon dor at CF for peanuts.

Meh, bad luck more than anything. Guy reached the end of his contract back when we were a mess financially. And he didn't show enough to warrant a big financial effort back then. Very hard to anticipate the future like that at that moment.

Most players don't turn around their careeer so spectacularly and in such short time, but for this reason you have to appreciate if not even like Dembele. We wrote a different story to most players. 10 years from now he will write an interesting autobiography.

At end of 2021 Dembele agreed on a contract for less than he could get elsewhere on the back of commentsa about him 'better than Mbappe' and core player but club were in a financial position could not pay him top dollar.

Dembele/agent agreed to sign it and renew.

Before the contract he even been signed Laporta was mouthing off in media about how Barca would be spending in summer and then went on to buy Ferran for 60m odd a few weeks later.

Dembele and agent felt lied to on the 'Barca poverty' line Laporta claimed in negotiations and all trust was gone. They pulled out of renewal.

The board then compounded that by blaming Dembele for not being able to bring in more players and tried to bully him by saying would never play again.

Dembele and his agent saw right through it as more blustering from board and largely ignored it... he played again without renewing that season.

By time summer came round Dembele was in position of power and agreed to renew on his terms as no longer trusted club fully but wanted to remain with in future Barca paying to keep him if both agreed or leaving.

Dembele being in position of power stayed but with relatively low release clause which he would take a % of.

A year later he left... which was a great decision.

Laporta ran his mouth. Fucked up the situation and was played by Dembele and agent in process. Losing a balon dor level player for one year of Lewa salary.
