Inigo Martínez

As per usual we went for the easy marks, with no scouting whatsoever. And we'll probably have people in here saying "who would you have bought?" when I don't make fucking millions like Deco does.

Flick wants to discuss with Deco what happened with Inigo and the chances of getting another CB.

There's only one problem, Deco is in Brazil on holiday, and he has to wait for him to get back.

 best sporting director ever.

I heard we have a new head of scouting or some thing like that. Hand it over to this guy to find out some good, promising CBs for cheap. Profile should be easy, an Araujo who can pass and does not do brainfarts.

In his own words (as opposed to fantasy driven agenda) - full interview is over at Sport:

Cuando vi la oferta ni me lo creía. No hablé con Flick hasta la vuelta porque la gira fue alborotada. Le pilló por sorpresa y fue triste, pero me entendió a los dos minutos"

When I saw the offer, I couldn't believe it. No one is prepared for that. I had been a pawn in futbol. You have to be there to know what an offer like that is like. I didn't talk to Flick until we got back because the tour was chaotic. It took him by surprise and he was sad, but he understood me within two minutes

He later added:

Well, it took many people by surprise. And apart from the fact that I was well liked by the fans, I generated that excitement and in the end my departure took them by surprise, but that's football and nowadays we're used to changes happening from one day to the next.

Economically speaking, that league (Saudi) cannot be compared to any of the others today. Looking at my career and what I had achieved, it was time to take the plunge. A player's career is short: I am 34 years old and these opportunities only come around once, if at all, and it is difficult to say no.

Yeah man, all good. Tell you what, since it's all good we should include clause to leave on a free in all future new contracts.
Brilliant planning.

Pretty much confirmed what I said, he finally won la Liga and the bag was offered, he had to take it.

He has nothing left to achieve in football, bar the CL and that's a flip of a coin and he wouldn't have been called up for the WC squad.

But I would have liked some money for him.

He retired from the national team afaik.

Don Juan Laporta Estruch

Basta yaaaaaaa, Cabron ! y Bona nit 🥂
The agenda against Don Aporta is so perverse that there are people here who actually believed he phoned the Saudi League to tell them about a clause they didn't know even existed, so they could take one of his first team players for FREE. :rofl1::rofl1:

And apparently he needed to sell a player for FREE in order to register his new signings. :rofl1::rofl1:

I ain't got no problems with criticizing Laporta, done it many times myself, but lately the criticism has been based on myth, innuendo, distorting of the truth and has been nothing short of fantasy world stuff.

I can only conclude it is a sign of the extremist times we live in

No one busts his ass (big or otherwise) like the Don for our club, no one - if you are flogging him, Barça is not for you

Exactly.

In his own roads " we are not perfect, but with us Barca wins and we out the club first"

Bojan cant even run a forum properly or have it grow considering it's a English Forum for the top 3 most popular club in the world, yet he's always talking shit lol
