My first thought after reading this. Looks like he wants to fuck the club he loves so much and captains. Why else would he write about how many months he will recover? Players never talk about that.

The rule is that the player need to be out for a minimum of four months and ter Stegen just made a public announcement claiming he will be unavailable for three months only.
How many players have you seen make such an announcement about their recovery time?
Obviously the club can claim he will be out for four months now, but with the player himself publicly claiming otherwise they might not have a strong case.
