Rashford would be, or should be at least, significantly cheaper than Lookman if it happens this summer. On similar money it would be Lookman all day, as there is more risk with Rashford. Very much doubt we're looking at Rashford for the money United blab about or would dream of. We're looking at him hoping that he'd come in a cheap loan for this season with a buy option to push the expense into next season. IF he delivers.
United would do much worse than loaning Rashford to an offensive powerhouse like Barca. If he doesn't look the money here, he'll not prove it anywhere else. Flick's system is an attacker's wet dream, and Rashford would be surrounded with quality left, right, and center in our offense. Other than PSG, who are stacked, Barca could drive his price the highest for United to sell on a decent deal in 2026.
As nobody is stupid in Europe to pay 40m for Rashford with no guarantees, they could pay 40m next summer for a player that may reinvent himself in a much better team.

Oh I hope not, no more. Also, I think Nico will do even worse now - Bilbao will fail in CL, probably fail top 5 in LL and he'll start to question his decision.
Anyway, I don't think Rash will do worse than Felix. Sure Felix had 2-3 amazing assists, but Rash will be dangerous when he has some space running at defenders.

People can say what they want about our financial situation, but even if that wasn't an issue, I doubt our Sporting Department would go for Lookman.
He just isn't a big enough name for us to go for. He'd be around 5th or 6th from the top in our Football Manager 2026 search.
Our Sporting Department only seen capable of being turned on by the top 2-3 in the search. The most obvious of obvious choices. Signings ' outside of the box ' are fine for squad players. But first team signings needing to be safe and sound is the predominate strategy. 34 year old Lewa over Argentinian league Alvarez. You get my drift?

Pogba went from overrated to underrated imo.
If he had gone to a functional team he would be looked at differently.

Yeah. Always believed in him, and wanted him here for years. Braida broke my heart back then, I remember. Posing with his agent (the guy who passed away) and Juve representatives, making promising comments and then for nothing to materialize. Hope he can have some kind of resurrection at Monaco. Seems like a likeable lad.
