Positive Thinking Cules

This season was like 2004/05 when we got Eto'o and Guily to compliment Ronaldinho's attacking force and won La Liga. In Europe we went out against Chelsea, beaten by Mourinho's invincible aura of the day.

But I don't mean this comparison on individual basis, but as a team - in 2004/05 the club finally found its identity and the formula to win games. Now I get the same vibe from Flick's Barca. Injuries got in our way of winning the treble, this one I'm sure of.

Nice wrap up. That guy knows how to see glass half full. And damn, Stegs is such a poison. System needs to be cleaned from him.

Sounds like this guy is new to football or to the football channel game.

Sounds like he thought he was being insightful by pointing out that a weaker team’s goalkeeper gets more shots on goal, so we have to be looking at shot shopping %.

A more seasoned admirer of the game wouldn’t even have bothered and pulled up directly the stopping percentage. Or presented it in less dramatic fashion.

I didn't know where to put this, but is this partly why there's so many Balkan Barca fans (especially on here)?

'The strong support for FC Barcelona in the Balkans, particularly among young people, is a combination of factors including the club's strong Catalan identity, its successful and attractive style of play, and its perceived underdog status against Real Madrid. Many in the Balkans see Barcelona as a symbol of resistance against perceived dominance, much like their own historical struggles. '

Honestly I don't think there's more barca fans in balkans than anywhere else. It's normal. Why there's so many of us here I have no idea though

The idea above is a little freaky idk I didn't have anything like that in my mind when I started supporting Barça just impressed by great football and magical players

Per capita there's probably a lot of Balkan Barca fans. Plus Yugoslavia were called Brazilians of Europe pre abolition so there's clearly a love of beautiful Barca style football there. Which real Madrid do not play.

Aye I am not saying it's true of you or all, but maybe some have that idea in mind.

I don't consider it freaky. Political views and other stuff inform the institutions we like in all walks of life. Do you consider it freaky that I stopped supporting Rangers because as an adult I realise I hate the royal family, Tory party and all the other racist stuff Rangers fans glorify? I think it's perfectly normal to intertwine politics with sport and other stuff.

It's true for me, I always hated the biggest club in the country and cheered for underdogs. It started in my home country and continued subconsciously with Barca even when I was a kid and didn't think about that, I just liked the club. I also don't like clubs like Juve, United, Bayern and PSG who fit that description.
