Luis Enrique

You're welcome
Only after the international break when he hit a bad patch of form that costed us in Europe and (almost) the league

Which was a bad patch at the worst timing, not that the team was already static or something like that
No chance it was a patch. It was part of decline.

When the patch was over, they were again obliterating teams 8-0 or so
Due to quality of opposition. We always continued to do well in La Liga resultwise.
But the football became poor and against top and sub-top teams we got outran and put under pressure.

The fact LE thought bringing in Arda for on the wing was a good idea being slow and lazy says plenty.

Arda was part of a disastrous and non-existent SD and squad planning.

Quality of opposition that we were losing against during that patch was also bad: Valencia at H

You can't convincingly argue that a streak of games starting the 2nd of April 2016, and ending on the 20th of April 2016 (that is 18 days) can be something bigger than a patch.

We were unlucky that during this period we were out of CL, and almost gave away the league too

Dude, he started in 2014 and until 2016 the team was on fire.
Understandable for some decline to kick in in his 3rd season.

'Relied on MSN'. Of course he relied on what he found, and on the best he had.
But he was the one who devised a system to get the best out of them.
He was the architect, just as Pep was the architect of the team that relied on Xavi Iniesta Messi.
At that time, and before Pep went to coach abroad, there were plenty of other idiots calling him fraud because "I can also do it with Xavi Iniesta and Messi"

Poor dudes, got the biggest L ever.
Just as the L the ones calling Lucho ' a bum carried by MSN' got now...
Agreed, Lucho did well in rotating the 2 GKs and also phased out Xavi seamlessly.

Also, people seem to forget that we couldn't make any signings during Summer 2015 and we lost 2 important squad players in Xavi and Pedro, so our squad depth was bad. Also, MSN needed to go all the way to South America during the March 2016 international window and eventually all those games and travel does catch up to you.

Don Juan Laporta Estruch

Basta yaaaaaaa, Cabron ! y Bona nit 🥂
This guy is a far far better coach than he was the first time he was here. He has improved immeasurably and his stint as an international coach has helped gain him some valuable experience.

Managed in 3 of the top 5 leagues as well.

It's written in the stars that when Flick leaves in a few years time, Don :lucho2: will come back home.

And if that happens, don't tell me that there won't be a part of :pep: that will be burning with envy.
