-Rumoured Barca interest one month ago (fee said to be 30m, but I think RB sell for atleast 45m)

Two LW alternatives outside Rashy, Leao, Fofana.

One reality, one potential.

Nico opting out gives us a great opportunity to get another option on a lower wage and a more reasonable amortization.

Honestly, with Nico out and Diaz not in the price range we are looking for, I won't put LW as priority.
If the club isn't comfortable with the names in the market, get the "loan" option for Rashford or someone else, and invest in defense. A long term LB is long overdue.

Let me throw a wildcard in to the ring.

Tomiyasu. Perfect cover for Jules as he is in the same mould. Centre back playing at right back. A defensive full back who can also play left back as well.

Price? Well he became a free agent yesterday. Has had huge injury problems at Arsenal, but I see very little downside in signing him , especially when you factor in the money he will bring in from Japanese fans.

To me we just lack imagination. Seriously, we're going only after known names. You're telling me our scouting department is completely useless? Go there, and spend the Nico money on some Vitinha, Neves, Doue, Barcola, Mendes etc.

Go find one of the next players who are gonna move for 30-45m to a big club and end up costing 2 times more in less than 2 years. There's no excuse. Do your job.

Neves, Doue, Barcola and Mendes were very highly rated talents who had multiple teams interested in them.

I don't see a prospect like that available at LW. Yes you have guys like Nusa, Fofana at Lyon, but they're not that talent level. Which is why they want to sign an established player who can come in and help right now, especially if Lamine/Raphinha are unavailable.

We're not the only teams struggling in this regard. Both Bayern and Arsenal are desperate for a LW, but the market isn't great.

I think we get caught up in this hippie let's sign a player no one has heard of before a bit too much.

Big clubs don't really operate in that market, they want players that are proven in a top league or close to it.

Almost all big clubs are linked with known names and a few hippie signings are mixed in now and then.

We sign plenty of players no one’s heard of. That’s not the category srghei’s talking about here.

Psg identified and signed multiple market opportunities. With their level of successful transfers, it’s bound to be more than luck.

Like who?, araujo is the only player in our current squad that we could put into that category.

We've signed a lot of players who are good market opportunities in recent times that's what we've been living off the last few years smart signings and Masia.

We almost signed another but he pussied out.

All players in that 60m or less category.

The lines of doue, neves, Barcola, were all know names and known talents that PSG with unlimited pocket move for first and past.

Only difference is PSG is signing 1 every few months.

PS he did say we are only looking at known names, which clearly indicates he doesn't want to do what PSG is doing, because everyone they said Bar pacho was a known name.

Yeah, but they were playing for smaller teams. Not fecking Liverpool like Diaz. And I'm not talking about LW only, we have fullback positions also that need cover. CB also.

Yep exactly.

Any unknown we sign will be like Araujo who went straight to the B team first

But teams like PSG aren't signing unknown names they are signing well know talents before they make a move to a big club, because they have unlimited resources and can act quickly

Everybody says there's poor market, until some club with better eye for players sign some player for 30-40m and then we become interested in him after the fact. :lol:

Happened all the time. We seem shite at identifying talent if it's not La Masia or at least Spanish player.
