You don't show up at our front door demanding a move to us and later along with his agent making demands and guarantees about registrations and not bothering to heed our advice and be patient.

Also fuck his agent especially. Dude is just a typical Bilbao stooge who was probably getting bribed behind the scenes by their board trying to "sabatoge" shit.

This is why I have said the fpp reason gets overblown.

Barca comes for you and promises you you will get registered. You know after this there is a big chance they will never come for you again.

Yes, it is possible that they wanted to see written guarantee. But my money is still on it being a distraction.

Think football God is blessing Barca. Think this guys would fail because of too low IQ. Dembele could mitigate that with his insane natural talent, but Nico is not a half of player. Think Barca should focus their scouting on high IQ players, because even great speed merchants or dribbling wizards fail, because they haven't that je ne sais quoi.

Nico has good IQ actually. Simply lacks the execution. He is aware and therefore usually opts for the safe play.

Dembele can be overzealous. But is now at level where most of the time he succeeds in what he wants to do.

Nico has quality, but he ain't gonna develop that quality playing for a team like Bilbao. You get better by playing with better players. It always was like that.

He is ideal fit for a possession system. Don't understand why he chose to extend with a team that propose very little football and mostly play defensive. Defensive discipline is not his strong point.

Like many here, I am not disappointed at all. I thought he would have been a good pickup a couple years ago when his contract was expiring but not for 60M when barca are broke.

Find either a vet to come in for a couple years or look for a prospect type who wouldnt mind be used as a rotational piece. Save the money for ST next summer.

His development will plateau now, but seeing it from athletic prospective, they have renewed him and also sancet on I think, on 10 year deals.

Good for them and their objectives to finish 5-7.

They'll probably finish above simeone now.

Good for the overall league
