Was among few against this signing and content we "missed out". Obviously not happy for Barca being played like fools courtesy of Deco
How should have Deco known he was played ? Nico made the first step, Nico agreed on the contract.

If Nico and his agent weren't willing to trust Deco and wanted that ridiculous clause to leave for free then they negotiated in bad faith from the beginning.

Didn't we give that clause to Inigo and Olmo before though.

Asking for that in and itself is not a big issue.

The bigger one is not trusting the process.

Seems he just didnt want it enough, or didn't like that we couldn't guarantee an 11 spot.

Big fish in small pond syndrome possibly. Julen Guerrero says hi.

They obviously talked more than they let out.

Whole point of being played is inherently that one does not know. Usually one of the two who is slower witted.

Now whole football world knows Barca were made fools.

Reason given last year for it not happening was the lack of trust with the registration issue. Why even come to Barca yourself this time around if you're not going to trust the process as you said?

Deco’s real test’s just began. He’ll have some budget. Made it clear publicly we’re in for a LW.

Thus far he inquired about Diaz and got denied and trusted Nico, who reached out himself.

We can't be giving guarantees to everyone now. Status has changed. We are champions of Spain 2 times in the last 3 years with the best attack in the world. If you don't want to come on our terms, we don't need you.

I like how we handled it. Made an effort for a player we liked, but in the end, we are Barcelona and we should not insist too much for anyone.

The guy extending for 10 years with Bilbao is a big red flag.

A part of me thinks just go another season relying on La Masia again. Getting transfers over the line under our present situation is just not worth the hassle. The transfer market is dead anyway. We are breaking our backs for a 5 goal a season shitter. It's idiotic.

Have a huge window next year when we are back at a full capacity Camp Nou and the market has more appealing opportunities.

Promote Kospo, Torrents and Virgili for CB, LB and LW depth. We will be okay. We will still challenge for all the trophies.

But even if we don't win any of them, we will enjoy the ride, watching these lads from the Cantera test themselves at the highest level. ( As we would have done last season if we'd gone trophyless).

So glad this saga is over. I agree more and more with the poster here who said he’s probably not confident enough in his talents to play for the likes of Barca or Bayern. I highly doubt he’s better than Olise or Diaz

10 years in crazy given the fact that he will likely never be a 100m player (with his buyout) and the chance of him winning a league or CL is virtually zero.

Barca was his opportunity. He's not a Robben or Di Maria level winger, and there will always be wingers of his level in the market.

The club are just idiots for having this wild goose chase for two years.

From his perspective, he also looks like a clown. Now he’s back at the club where a lot of the fans already labeled him as a Judas
