Nico Williams

Horatio

You're welcome
Cannot tell. The only obvious thing is he used us again to get a better deal.

Preferred higher wages than playing for Barca.

Wanted to stay at his boyhood club but used us to squeeze more.

Could be lots of stuff.

Low self confidence is at the bottom of my list.

No. Can’t be those 2 reasons. He would earn good at barca soon enough.

Also no way he wants to stay at Bilbao if he thinks he can become a big player for us.

Maybe he figures he wants to develop further first. But then I am right actually.

His team used us to seal his dream contract at Bilbao. In that sense, yeah, we got played.

With that said, why is anyone twerking for a 5 goal a season winger.

I don't think Athletic take this to LaLiga if it's all a plan for a wage bump.

I think it's somewhere in the middle, and being a Basque boy, he doesn't have the heart to go through the loops like Olmo did, who is a Barca lad.

Facts are we could hardly sign Nico last summer seeing what we went through to register Olmo. So let's see our upcoming moves, to see if we could have even signed him this summer.

Like who?

There is no Barcola or Doue type talent available.

Fofana who people mention is extremely raw as a player and will cost 30m while we need a signing to make an immediate impact.
Not my job. They should have 2-3 targets on their radar. Not chase the "easiest" available option and end up looking like idiots.
Same thing happened last season with Olmo. They went for the convenient option available.

Every player who stayed loyal must’ve had low self esteem. I’ll let Totti know.

Playing CL with his boyhood club, next to his brother is a pretty nice opportunity too.

As I said, tons of reasons besides that one.

For all we know could be his agent playing games all along.

A contract extension tells us that Nico really isn’t that interested in coming to Barcelona! I’m fine with it. I think we can get players on loan who would perform just as well as he would. As far as end product is concerned, he is way overrated. No doubt Flick would improve on this but still….

Not to mention that we’ve missed on quite a few wingers that moved since we signed Olmo. They need to do some planning and scouting.
