Despite not being the usual technical barca style player, he has many things speaking for him:

- La-Masia
- Costs the club absolutely nothing in the books
- No toxicity, is glad about every minute he gets and runs as if his life depends on it
- Still potential as it was just his first professional season, Flick apparently sees it as well.

That's why we have also La-Masia. Not only to bring out Cubarsis and Lamines, but also cheap boys with okay potential to fill-up the back-up positions. They identify with the club from the childhood, dream about nothing else than play for the first team and give everything they've got once they get the chance. Under Bartomeu we filled these positions with 20m bums and a high salary, which lead to today's situation as well, while La-Masia boys left because they didn't get any chances.

People underestimate the feeling of La-Masia kids if they either see the club gives them chances or it doesn't. Also in the past, we let defenders leave early like Cucurella and Mingueza. Now we're talking about a boy who was thrown into the cold water and had to play the most difficult games possible in his first professional career and I can list enough players worse than him, which Barca had in the last decade.

He definitely deserves another season to show himself, especially in today's financial situation.

First of all, he had 2 assists against Inter. Without them, no one would even care about this mistake most likely.
Secondly, nearly no player was in their top form facing Inter. We could have gotten into the final with playing better in dozens of other situations in both games. If you want to pick the one that played his first professional season, didn't ask to be played, was thrown into the hot phase of the season without any preperation but still did the best he could in a fuckin CL semis, okay be my guest.

I'm glad he's in the team and hopefully he has grown with these games.

Gerard Martin seem like a decent guy, but if we have to rely on him again in an important game we're essentially playing with 10 men.
He's useless in attack unless given five seconds to put in a cross and awful defensively.

They need to sign a LB.

You can't argue "he didn't ask to be played" - because that's a lame ass excuse if I ever saw one...
He's not a fucking electrician or accountant - his fucking job is being a football player. The fuck of an excuse is that?
