1 - Marc-Andre ter Stegen

Dude needs to get his head out of his ass. He did some great saves, but he made some mad fuckups. We have to move from Amigos, Stegen is like the last fucking piece. Also, he might never find the form after his last injury. He should move on, no grudge or hate - his time is now.

You're welcome
Ter Stegen will only leave Barcelona in case of a full contract termination, with him receiving all of the remaining salary in his contract. Barça hope that he'll eventually change his stance. @sport

Well at least we will have the best 3rd GK in the world.
Most expensive as well

Well, knowing his attitude, I expected this.

He is not in the wrong, though. He is owed that money. It's fine if he wants to sit on the bench; maybe he thinks his spot on the national team will remain intact.
So this is the way. He gets his money, we get to see him rot on the bench, Barca plays Garcia, and he wins us matches. We will see how things pan out in May 2026.

Win Win scenario for everyone.

What a petulant little asshole he is. I'm not surprised, though.
He always seemed an entitled little prick. Whenever he was in CL and he'd concede, he always gave death stares ti the defence, trying to deflect from his woeful attempt.
The man is hopeless and that 8 2 must have definitely stuck in Flicks mind. Him sulking over not starting the Inter match must have been the final nail in the coffin. Imo he has too much ego not to move. He has the nu.ber one spot ,finally and the world cup is coming up. Hope he fucks off soon. He was emblematic of our bad old days in CL.

As long as Flick didn't have the talk yet with him, these kind of reports are worthless. MAtS is since a decade in the club, first captain as well. He deserves a talk in person, and not through some shabby phone call during his vacation.
For now he obviously wants to stay and compete against Garcia, instead of running away, so he leaks it to the press. That will change as soon as Flick will tell him about Garcia getting the number one spot.

For MAtS not playing the next season after being injured the entire last season, would not only mean losing his spot at the NT he waited all his life for, but also career ending in general given his age and no match rhythm for 2 years.

The GK starting spot isn't comparable to any other spot in the team, where you can win it by training better than your direct competition. A GK has his spot safe no matter how good or bad he trains as long as he plays satisfactory and doesn't fail too often. Nobody knows this better than MAtS himself, being the second goalkeeper behind Neuer for many years.

So when Flick talks to him during the start of the pre-season, that Garcia will get preference over him, he'll leave because he has no choice. Money plays no role here in my opinion, because it's a question of continuing his career or let it end here and now. Of course it all depends on Flick and his talk. If he gives him hope to compete for the number 1 spot, he might stay, but I think Flick gave already assurances to Garcia to play, otherwise he wouldn't have come in the first place.

Great mentality from our captain. He was presented a chance to leave on a high and continue his career but he declines it. If he wants all the remaining money, put him on the stands until his contract runs out, and end his Barca career that way.
What is this last chance your talking about?

Of course he is entitled to receive what is written in the contract. Would you want him to leave just because some clown on a forum says so?

Not even sure the club had a real talk with him about the situation.

He's not owed what he hasn't earned. 2026 wage.
