1 - Marc-Andre ter Stegen

Ter Stegen: “I am in good shape and I hope next season to be fully fit physically and achieve great things with this team.”

What does bad shape look like?
He might be getting into alright shape... but it's not necessarily in good shape as a goalie on highest elite level, just overall I guess. But he sure as fuck won't be elite goalie anymore.
We need to hire a psychologist with a lot of patience who can sit down with Tractor and Terrorist, we need to make them understand themselves they are the problem - it's time my guys...

I'd settle for decent level. He's not even decent. Most of his attempted saves end up on social media as memes.

Why is the club so willing to part with Inaki Pena while still treating MATS as #1? The big contract is the reason I'm assuming? At this stage I don't think MATS provides anything additional to Pena.

Pena is below mediocre tbh.
But he is 26 years old GK with a total of 52 games in top level, only 33 league games too.

There is no point in keeping him unless he is a starter, which won't happen.

Keeping MATS might be a mistake based on his current form, but Pena should definitely leaves.

If anything, he really overstayed

Anybody here who never rated him? Even when he had a big reputation back in 2015 ish?
I never liked him.

Bravo was better than him but his PR forced Bravo out of a club.

After that, he was frosty the clown and a Gk with the weirdest goalkeeping style, as if he played as a handball keeper as a kid.

All in all, he was bad for 70% of time here and good for 30% of time.

1 good season
Then 2-3 bad seasons

Very hot and cold.
Not reliable on larger samples.

If we had a better keeper, who knows, probably we would have won more CLs in Messi's final years.

Current Szczesny is Messi compared to him.
