Xabi is a good coach but Madrid's problems this season were significantly deeper than just Ancelotti. In fact he was the easiest target for Madridistas but doesn't deserve nearly as much blame as he gets.

Injuries have fucked the team and it's clear medical staff is not doing the best job, which may as well go on to the next season. Problems with Vini, Mbappe and Jude on the same team are clear to everybody. Xabi will have to fit everyone the club demands him to, regardless of whether it benefits the system or not.

I can only predict a much closer competition between Barca and Madrid next season. Madrid will be better and we will be better.

We have a top coach too and those doubting it will probably see next season although the evidence is clear already but these dogmas and traditions of the past won't let them open their eyes and look at Flick system from all the sides.

Last 2 managers that did a good job at Madrid, Zidane, and Ancelotti, kept the stars happy and gave them freedom. Xabi is a system manager. On paper the fit is not there.

In last 20 years or so these are our lowest point tallies when we were champions.

87 - 08/09 and 18/19 Pep/Valverde
88 - 22/23 - Xavi

We are currently at 82 points. Think we will need to have more points next season to win the title.

We were on track to get 90+ but unfortunately we became way too complacent, this is something we didn’t fix until Hansi Flick came in.

Good point but Xabi is smart. There will be structure but he will have to give some freedom to the players or he will lose the dressing room. Madrid is not Leverkusen.

🚨| 𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆: Despite being the frontrunner to officiate the Champions League final, Szymon Marciniak has been punished by UEFA and won't referee the showpiece match. In fact, he hasn't been assigned to the Europa League or Conference League finals either. This decision is linked to his controversial performance during the Inter vs Barcelona semifinal 2nd leg, where several of his calls sparked major controversy. [@sport]

Justice
He should be banned for life. That’s nothing compared with the cruel damage he did to Barca and his fans. Completely crap refereeing.

Unfortunately for us, next season Madrid has a top coach for the first time in I don't know how many years

Board needs to ABSOLUTELY step up and support Hansi with signings, or else there will be 0 titles next season
Coach plus Arnold Trent free from Liverpool. Who knows if Wirtz will not be brought at package by the new coach….

Praise from Toni Kroos:

That's the really impressive thing about Barça: they carry on playing as if nothing had happened, nothing had happened. They carry on taking the risk of losing 7-0, but they have this security, this certain ease. You don't notice any fear of losing. That's really unique at the moment. It's a huge mentality when you just say: 0-2, whatever, we'll just carry on. And yet you notice that Real Madrid still have doubts despite being 2-0 up. What goals actually do to a game – no goal changed the game. It was the same game the whole time. That's mainly because Barça are currently having such ease with the ball.

I agree with him. One of the most impressive things Flick brought back to Barca, this confidence. No matter how many goals the opponent scores, we keep going and score more. That even nearly worked against Inter, where just 2 minutes remained until the final.

I think Kroos is bitter about Real. Probably witnessed some nasty types at work there. Think we can expect more respect from him towards Barca and maybe in 3 years reveal ugly side of Real.
