Yes, but not a good exemple the EL final and generally the current year, because to badly lose a final, you firstly have to reach the final, and in CL there is another german team in final (i don't know how many time it's happend 2 german team in a final in the same year).
But do not understand me wrongly, i totally agree with you, Bundesliga is anyway a low-level league.

Gives me Eto'o/Mane vibes.
Played in EPL and saw him before. Remember a match against peak Liverpool and his talent was there. Reminded me of Mane in style.
B teams are great at developing players for the bigger teams but for this they require their hefty payday.

Would be normal for a non sporting exec to see the game and (Connor Mcgregor voice) go "who the fook is he!? We need to sign this fooker".
Of course the SD department would know him since Everton and someone who has always been talented but hadn't put it together consistently.
Good player for a free transfer though.
