That referee was a stupid cunt, Xavi did him easy... Made me curse his entire bloodline for the whole night.

You can't sub out Robert Lewandowski in a CL knockout. Period. Why are people on this forum so dumb?

Not one manager on the planet would do that coz they aren't clinically insane. Fuckin Pep(the most powerful manager itw) didn't take off Haaland until he asked for it himself.

Utterly delusional folks here.

Xavi should have subbed Pedri out and played Yamal as an RCM(Pedri is shite defensively anyways) in a 432 formation.
He hasn't proven he deserves that right.

He has been very average in the big games with Barca so far. He probably wouldnt be subbed off only because Xavi doesn't seem to like Roque much.

Clueless as I said. Even in this very same tie he had a chance from a set piece cleared from the line by a PSG player. If you need a player to score a goal, Lewandowski and raphinha are our best options.
Who gives a shit about Lewa nearly scoring a goal if we blow a 4-2 aggregate lead in the process LOL

The point was leaving Yamal on to keep them honest and from repeatedly attacking us to AVOID constant pressure and conceding. Would you describe our defense as good at absorbing constant pressure? Even with 11, let alone 10? No. The answer is, no.

It's been pretty clear that when we park the bus, we concede goals. ESPECIALLY in crucial games. Taking Yamal off signed the death certificate for this game.

Xavi chose to keep a sluggish, old striker on to help defend while parking the bus. We had no outlet to get out of pressure. Then once they started banging in goals and we needed to score, out of desperation, THEN we started applying pressure to them and threw everything at them. Too late now, bud.

Xavi made it easier than it had to be for them. Lewa did fuck all to protect a lead. Half the time he was defending near our box, how the fuck was he supposed to be an outlet to "hold up" the ball anyway. We needed someone who can dribble, with speed on the wing to get the ball and take off, draw a foul, move the ball up the pitch. Remove pressure.

Instead we got what we got. Get the fuck out of here with your condescending bullshit. If you think that's the best we could of done a man down then you're mouth is wrapped so tightly around Xavi's 4 inch pinch that there is simply no hope for you.

Yamal upfront was going to keep them honest little bro, what are you even talking about.

Its like we all have selective amnesia and forgot how well Lewy held the line 6 days earlier in Paris.

The era was going down to 10 men and having 2 of the midfielders not match fit. We saw how much of a difference having Sergi Roberto and then Christensen come on made in Paris.

It seems as if some indeed forgot,no chance he takes off lewa and it was the right decision

The midfield situation couldn't have been helped due to suspensions, pedri clearly wasn't ready to start this game.

Only better sub would have been, Martinez for pedri, For 4-4-1 and in the last 15, go 4-3-2 with yamal and lewa as strikers.

But subbing off lewa like some have said or raphinha like others said during the game, before coming to there senses wasn't gonna happen.

PSG simply has too much pace and skillful players in there team for any team to stop them from scoring 2+ goals with 10 men, especially with the leader of your back line being the one that came off.

By far his biggest problem is his attitude on the bench. The red card he protested so much about is by the book.

The least you can be if you are a choleric, neurotic type, is to be right. He didn't even have a case in this game. Some of his players fecked up in a shameful manner. He should have been the one to say the stuff Gundogan said after the match.

If you care to be a great manager some day, you can't behave and react like that.

imo it's crazy how fast you get a red card these days, we want emotions and as long as a coach doesnt insult the mother of the ref it's ok
This guy is over emotional. He's like that giddy headed teenage girl who has no control over her emotions.
Even Bournemouth wouldn't hire this clown.

People think this stuff doesn't matter but it really does play a big role in mentality and sports psychology.

If you go into every game thinking the world is against you and all the refs are trying to rob your team, it can throw you off. Have you guys ever played competitive games or sports and felt like you were being cheated? It is a very frustrating feeling and limits you from giving your best. That is what Xavi is claiming is happening every game and the team are going to start picking up that if they trust Xavi.

All this nonsense about how LaLiga is fixed, every ref is trying to rob Barca, every loss is due to the referees and UEFA have orchestrated an international conspiracy to bribe refs against Barca or something is not going to help the players. Its going to induce paranoia and frustration amongst the players and prevent reflection on what improvements need to happen on the field.

For a team that is already somewhat mentally weak, and with a lot of younger players, that shouldn't be the mentality conveyed to them from the top. They need to be rational and focused on improvement rather than this circus.

Yamal sub ended the tie. There were no perfect options from the bench. But having yamal, who just left the LB for dead for an assist on high spirits and also defends really well is different than having NO ONE to pass the ball for a break. Keep lewa if you must for some reason, even though he has disappeared in all big games. but don't rake of your wild card when down to 10 men. it is what it is.

I hope you're joking, he was a beast in both Napoli matches, Atletico away and first leg of PSG.

I agree that Yamal sub ended the tie, without him Barcola was extremely dangerous + our offense was dead. Pedri out, Yamal in and we have probably a good chance to win the tie. It is what it is. Meow.

People need to relax with that look at Carlo he was so calm vs Xavi and that won them the game.

To that I simply say EV.

what did they get us,going into two games up 3 goals?.

Yea I wish he was calmer, but that's not what cost us the game or allowed Madrid to win.

1 team went down to 10 men and lost, against a high pace, high individual skill team.

The other had 11 men behind the ball, and played against a team that all it does it recycle the ball, look how the game changed once doku game on, now imagine if they also had barcolal/dembele.

we have seen for over a decade now pep often struggles against buses, even 10 men buses.
Chelsea
Inter
(Even though we should have won both games, much like city should have won Tuesday, but park the bus gives you the best chance against pep).

Stop over analyzing,we lost because our best defender got a red card, and the opposition had
Mbappe
barcola
Dembele
Hakimi
Mendes

Freaking Olympic level speed and we lost pretty much the only defender we have with real pace.
