He’s been the best player of this team for the past 3 years. Wtf are you stupid idiots talking about up here ?

Besides Cancelo, he’s the only world class player in this shit team.
Yes, there's been times where he's been great but he lacks leadership, drive and a nasty streak. He's too soft just like Pedri.
100 million gives us room to maneuver. If the money is spent wisely we can fill in some key positions. DM and LW come to mind.

Cancelo is not a world class mate. He is a full back that doesn't know how to defend. A full back without any defensive awareness can never be considered a world class. He might be a world class in attack but that's just 50% of the game.

Not sure FDJ is a worldclass player either. He's a good player, but not a leader and not someone you build a team around. His position seems to be that of a box to box midfielder, but I can't pinpoint a role for him in this team were we get his full potential.

I know we've had some poor managers while he was here, but he didn't set the world alight either. A Dutch fella was saying he is regarded as underwhelming for the NT also. So it's not like he is worldclass in another environment.

Frenkie is great. He is the midfielder that brings the system together without impacting it on an individual level himself. So in a way, his potential is linked to the surrounding parts.

No shame in that, Enzo Fernandez is another such player and he went for 100m+. Moises too. Declan Arroz one more.

So yeah, maaaybe we can unload him and destribute the finances in somewhere like LW. But then getting a Frenkie replacement will eventually cost you 100m unless you get lucky in developing a prospect like Darvich which will take time.

And if you were thinking of re-investing the Frenkie money into a LW, it would probably be better to look at financing through overbooked positions. EG Raphi/Ferran + Christ/Kounde/Araujo sale.

We been looking at that Copenhagen lad. But with City playing them in the CL and half of PLs eyeballs on him, would probably be priced out unless we had a sizeable sale.

From "he's not played in his best/favorite position" to "his potential is linked to the surrounding parts". Probably that's why he takes a nap when having to defend.

Clowns like Chelsea inflating the market with astronomical fees for barely proven players should not be the standard. Considering our track record with sales(if we really want to sell him) I wouldn't get my hopes up.

His type of player has a definite role and value in the current inflated market.

The problem right now is deeper than Frenkie.

Too many goals are being conceding yet the coach can only put that issue on his players.

We concede a shit ton of goals, because our deepest mid has zero positional awareness. Even handing out supporting wheels like Christensen has done nothing.

There are obviously other reasons, but Frenkie is one of the big ones.

De Jong is nothing like rice who's shown he's a excellent player for multiple years now in different teams.

You swap them both, put de Jong in that arsenal team now, he'll look excellent, you take rice and put him in this Barcelona team right now the team improves significantly.

That's the difference between them both, one needs the system to be perfect to impact it, the other does not.

And don't let one off season at Chelsea, who are even worse than us right now, let us forget how good Moises is.

As it relates to Enzo he does more than bring the system together without impacting it, he plays with balls and heart, did we see him for Argentina showing up on the biggest stage in the world multiple times, when his team needed him?

He has more character in one of his foot, than de jong has shown to have in his entire body.

I've always said he's a good player, but people need to stop making excuses for him, as a CM what does he excel at? Carrying the ball?.

He's average defensively due to his poor positional scene and lack of character.

He doesn't create that much.

He can't control the pace of a game at the highest level.

What is he great at,. As supposedly the best CM in the world, a rolls Royce player.

Sell him get our money back, he can find a perfect system that suits him.

This is what I love about Enzo. The bloke just made his international debut just 3 months before the World Cup started and helped made the team better and winning the Young Player of the Tournament knowing this was Messi's last World Cup.

Takes special mentality and courage to perform like how he did.
