Indeed. Exactly what we need since he can play at CB and LB plus we know his price (In the 10 - 15m price range), which is far cheaper than our reported main targets.

This leads me to believe that we are a lot closer to our priority targets than us common folk know.

Just the mention of him being linked to barcelona gives me a hard-on, but I don't see it happening. That makes me sad

Why we don't want imo:
- tends to have concentration issues sometimes
- whines on his teammates when things aren't going their way (because he's a pure winner)

But I'm sure that all this will dissapear when he gets to play for us, in a better competition, with much better teammates.

oh boy, we should so go for him.. Perfect signing in any way

It's not that Vertonghen is choosing Tottenham over Barcelona, it's that Barcelona is not really interested for whatever reason. The Ajax manager has tried his best to sell Vertonghen on the club but they are just not that interested.

Newcastle have been linked with him. I have to say, I haven't watched many Ajax games, but when I have I'm not really impressed by him.

any of you regular watchers of Eredivise? what's he like?
