What youse are discussing, the magic square or whatever they tried to play in 2006 was pure fantasy football stuff that had no place in a real football pitch.

Ronaldino, Kaka, Adriano and R9 in a team sounds amazing on paper, never ever works in practice. Emerson and Ze Roberto (or whoever else was in midfield) had way too much work to do. They wanted to try to make Robinho a fifth one too.

You estroy everyone on PES with that. Never win a World Cup on real grass. Not even in 2006 when it was less tactical than now.

Midfield and fullbacks are shockingly bad, though. Anything can happen in a WC, as they say, but I wouldn’t bet any money on them.
Wesley is not shockingly bad. He is not some world class fullback but not a scrub either. Solid on both ends of the pitch

LB is a problem indeed. But Carlo has 4 (assuming Militao is fit for WC) very good CBs so maybe he can play one of them at LB

Midfield is not good, true.

Ain't no way Neymar makes the WC squad after not being called up now. If Carlo wanted his leadership and experience he'd be there now.

Carlo is a tool. Calling up a winger with 8 G+A for Zenit in 30 games in the Russian league while Brazil already have a myriad of great wingers, the position with most depth along with CF, instead of a creative genius like Neymar, even if washed, is something I don't understand.

Look at that lineup. No natural CAMs except arguably Cunha.

Still the answer is not Neymar. Sooner his fanboys realize it the better. Brazil getting knocked out early and people will come in here and say "well that's what you get for leaving Neymar at home..", easy to predict.

He has the power to disrupt the squad if he isn't happy which he won't be with the amount of playing time he'd get. These superstars aren't used to being benched with a secondary role.

Maybe in a perfect world Neymar would be good enough to play but he is washed unfortunately, and compared to likes of grandpa CR who can camp in box and wait for crosses, Neymar can't really do much against athletic defenders in their primes now that his legs are gone. Someone might propose he can play last 20 mins against tired legs as CAM, but when was the last time he did that against proper defenders?

Carlo diplomatically said that Neymar still has a chance if he is 100% fit, but you don't leave a player of his calibre outside the squad if you really believe he has a part to play.

Risk is too big that Neyney gets upset by not being the superstar. Carlo is wise to minimize the risk.

Tbh, Ney doesnt give me the Messi/Cristiano vibes in terms of being upset when he doesnt start. Carlo will know that better and if that is the case yeah he shouldnt be nominated. Otherwise he is still able to play nice through passes + his corner kicks are great. Otherwise attack looks great but the defence is so meow, Alex Sandro lol, guy was already finished when he played at Juve with CR. I really really doubt that Brazil will win WC with that defence but having such a strong offense + Ko -Master Carlo nothing is impossible.
