Fabregas, with Busi as assistant.
Fabregas is a good manager but clearly still too green for the Barça job. You could see that a milion times in his press conferences

Especially under the circumstances. No budget, shit squad depth, high demands both in terms of results and overall team performances, leaders of the team are teenagers with little top flight experience...

By the time Flick leaves he will mature, likely having managed a top side as well, so maybe that will be the time when he will be the perfect replacement

Look at how much money Cesc has spent compared to even Inter, Milan and Juventus.

Promising manager, but he's essentially got a blank cheque there. Only thing stopping him from attracting even bigger players is well that they are Como and not those clubs.

Kompany was out of his depth in the EPL at Burnley, but created a top side in a year at a rich club. Some managers, especially those with a clear attacking system, need quality players, like Pep and his unlimited funds.

And of course Como had to spend. Without transfers, their squad would have looked bleak - x times worse than those of Inter, Milan and Juve, so it's not fair to highlight this as Cesc's negative.

That's why it's ideal if Flick continues for a few years so Cesc gains experience but it's risky because he'll have other offers as he already did this summer, wasn't Inter interested? Maybe he declined that because of the Como links (he's an owner too) but if Arsenal or City come knocking he could take the job and he's off the market for a few years. There is also Lucho too but looks like Flick will extend now that Laporta won. He should get a renewal and hope he ever gets some funds to buy players, he earned it.

We should monitor what Lucho and Cesc do so they are avaliable when Flick steps down or gets fired.

Cesc would be hugely popular choice as currently stands.

Yes he has spent money but not on world beaters. It is largely up and coming players that the very top clubs are not in for.

He is improving them.

If there is anything Barca would take for next coach it would improving young players as he has.

Barca should be using him and Como the way Real have to sell players there with cheap buy backs if not ready for first team.

Como spending money is not equivalent to say PL clubs splashing on likes of Mbuemo, Joao Pedro, Cunha, Semenyo etc.

Como are buying a lot of players from outside of Italy which takes a lot more scouting than just rinsing their league colleagues of their best players.

Have I missed something? Como only had 2 transfer windows where they spent € 100M each with their most expensive player costing € 22M from Betis. For a side that was playing in Serie D not long ago that should theoretically never be enough to be ahead of Juventus in the league table. It's hardly City, PSG, Chelsea category, neither in spending nor in player pull. Roma spends that kind of money every season and they aren't doing that well.

Would have never expected Cesc to become a great coach. As a player and with his wife choice he seemed a bit thick. Guess it means nothing for coaching ability. Kompany, Cesc, Arteta doing well while Xavi is still looking for a job is kinda funny.

Also, do we even still have good relations with Cesc? For many years, we made all these transfer shenanigans back in the days only to become worse with him in the team, then got rid of him to Arsenal's rivals.

But for what Como are spending in Italy comparative to the overall league standard, they should easily reach the CL every year. God bless tobacco.

The same way if you financially doped Real Betis or Valencia to sweep the best of the buyout clauses in Spain and a sprinkle of overseas talents that they should get that 4th spot pretty handsomely.

That's not to say that Cesc is not a very good coach and would be a good option. But that he would be on much more pressure and signings constraints here. But hey, atleast he is proving himself in a better league than Qatar and giving himself a very serious football management career trajectory.
