But not current to anywhere near where you make out.

Celtic had Larsson at one point.

Changed days.

It's still going on. Arnold left Liverpool last summer. Even more damning case.

Do you see anyone from EPL attracting Valverde? Never in million years. Only when Madrid want it like with Casemiro. Probably some 31 year old Federico Valverde for 100m.

Haha fucking hell you are going back that far?

Kane who wanted to move to City.

Suarez wanted to sign for Arsenal also.

Ronaldo wanted to move back to Man Utd at one point while at Real also.

Messi tried to sign for City.
True, they're happy to move within the PL.

But the point is they're happy to move to the very biggest European clubs even when they have choices - the clasico sides and Bayern, mainly.

It's simple. When players move to Madrid and Barca, Liga fans make a huge deal about it and keep bragging about it

PL fans don't care and never do that when they sign people like Haaland

Newcastle signed Tonali from Milan. Good luck trying to get Tonali to Getafe.

But Newcastle had a massive cash injection and could pay much higher wages than Getafe.

Would Tonali have gone to Newcastle when they were bobbing up and down like a yo yo club?

Newcastle and Getafe are not similar cases.

Of course TAA is a star. CL winner and one of the best fullbacks in the game for some solid years.
Why isn't Wirtz a star then?

The main man of the German NT, back to back Bundesliga player of the season awards and wanted by multiple top clubs.

Even Bayern board members openly said he's the best German talent of this era.

But that's what makes EPL the best league. This is not disputed. What is disputed is the silly idea that it also has the best top sides. Or that other big clubs would struggle in EPL.

I have seen this argument even in Pep Barca days. How Messi would've struggled on a cold night on the Britannia stadium vs Stoke. Bunch of rubbish.

Haha ffs 'a clear star' but not even a starter for his country.

Top stuff.
He did more than enough to prove his quality at Liverpool. I am not a massive fan of his but he's clearly a very good player, albeit with some weaknesses in some ways to set up.

Reece James is normally preferred to him - he's a very good RB too, when fit. Walker and Trippier got in before him - being behind prime Walker is no shame, and Trippier is a decent player who when used at RB was often for tactical reasons as compared to Trent.

I don't think not being a starter for your country is a good reason to claim someone isn't a class player or a star. England have or had a lot of depth at RB.

We joke about him, but by the standards of elite level football, he is a very good player and a star, yes, when he gets his act together.

People laugh at him because the financial package paid for him is a level of 'best player in the league' or 'can lead Liverpool to multiple trophies over several years'. I don't rate him THAT high. But he has a lot of ability, just like TAA.
