He was good in this game

People making it out as if he cost us the game again is pathetic and far from reality

Should have tracked back for that goal but also Raphinha who was covering for him didn't do well. Sometimes you have to expect from your winger to step up in defense too especially when workrate is his standout quality

There were 5-6 players on the pitch worse than him

I agree he was good, nearly flawless on the ball too despite his limitations.

But the goal they score is sort of his fault, not solely, but it's the root to why Barnes end up totally alone in the box. Also looked like a child getting told off by his mom when ref told him to go out.

Don't understand why Raphinha was covering RB when he was out. Raphinha himself looked totally lost in the box. It's just a sign of lack of focus from both Araujo and Raphinha, especially at the end of the game where a draw would be fine, you see the game off without losing the organization.

Even if he had cramps there is no excuse for the circus he made with returning on the pitch on his ass and continue to jog far outside of his position. I was defending him for a long time but don't want to see him on the pitch again. Play Espart as RB next games if we don't have other options.

Exactly what Henry said! For me this is worse than his PSG and Chelsea red card, that's was in a split second where he tackled to hard, that can happen to anybody but this is just laziness and stupidity.

Defended him for a long time but after all the mistakes, red cards, knocking out of CL because of him, the holiday during the season, you pay your fans and the club back with this kind of laziness in a crucial CL game?

We got kids from La Masia. I'm pretty sure Espart wouldn't drag his ass on the pitch like a clown and then walk around the pitch like Araujo did.

He played well, and couldn't have been in the position to cover that goal anyways, where was the RB & raphinha who was there didn't handle it well.

But it's not easy defending from your blind side.

Clearly he was instructed to move forward towards the end to try & cause some chaos, so the team should have adjusted for that.

In hindsight maybe flick should have started Garcia for bernal in Midfield.

Oh well

Lol nope, that didn't happen because he was instructed to move forward, that part has nothing to do with it. He had all the time to get back to his position but instead he chose to act like a clown on his ass and after the referee called his bullshit proceded to walk around.

He looks dead inside. A complete shadow of the player under Xavi. Maybe a complete shadow of the human being he was as well.

He was offside twice against Atleti as well after he came on when he was lazy walking back.

The last two performances have been a strange mixture of a player who doesn't seem to be putting in that extra yard of effort, whilst trying desperately not to make another mistake.

He used to relish games, love the challenge of facing tough competition and genuinely enjoy his football. Now he looks like playing is a torture. Akin to a rock climber who is free soloing, where one false move means disaster.

He looks genuinely happy when the game is finally over. To him football has become more of a relief that nothing bad happened, rather than a desire to strive for footballing glory.

The drop off has been massive.
