What the fuck is dude talking about??? That we might not sign a new #9 because we have Tuna and Lewa? Lewa's contract is fucking up and Tuna can't score in a brothel - the fuck is going on? He doesn't want to get elected???

They cant say much else as most likely if spend this summer it will be after back to 1:1 and players would have to leave.

Not a discussion they are going to go to in depth in in March when games to win.

Its suits no one to talk about new strikers etc now.

Thats what happens when have election at vital part of season and probably one of the reasons for it.. dont have to talk or promise much and use 'team harmony' as reason.

But stil, he should stfu about Lewa - his contract is up and Flick doesn't even use him anymore. He could have just said nothing, why shoot himself in the foot? I understand he shouldn't speculate about strikers now, long time until summer and much can happen - but don't fucking say we have Lewa when his contract is up this summer... Tuna will stay for sure, no sane person will buy him - the "reports" of Chelsea wanting to buy him for 80M hahahahaha. Nah, Laporta should just stfu!

Dont think there is anything wrong with that if aim is to limit the conversation.

The only issue is if he actually means it which surely cant.

Still irresponsible and stupid... Lewa's contract is up, so what is he implying? Dude, you know what I mean ffs - stop this silly game...

Font is desperate at this point. This will surely make a lot of Barça fans angry at Laporta but surely not enough to vote for that idiot

I personally am not too mad at this. I respect Messi and love him and think he needs a proper farewell. But that was not the time. We were building a new young team and eventually we built it. Messi has no place here as a starter and I don't think he wanted any less

Laporta is a liar and should have handled Messi's departure a lot better, but he's still currently the best president for this club.

None of the other presidential options really captivate me.

The fact that he has convinced you (plural) about this is sad.
That's his whole strategy, to deflect his huge flaws by painting the picture the "one-eyed who is a king in the land of the blind"

Could not be further from the truth

Convinced us of what exactly?

I was also against Messi coming back.

What really matters is not whether Messi coming back was great decision (it was NOT).
What matters is the lies towards all sides (and public) and the hypocrisy in which he handled things

You have your view, I have mine.

Laporta did more good than harm from what I see and none of the other candidates fill me with confidence.

'Did more good than harm'
'Not great, but better than all the other candidates'
'At least loves the club'
'Saved us from Barto's ruins'

That's all his lines and agenda selling to folk to vote for him again

Sometimes stupid fans have to lie to achieve a better solution.

You can't just go out and tell these idiots:
Stupid, powerless animals, you understand that football has changed. We want to build a modern team, following the Cruyff traditions – dominance, possession, pressing. We can't achieve all of that with your fucking idol you worship, because he runs less than 6 km per match.

Can't disagree more.

This logic gave us a president who utters more lies than the breaths he takes every day.

I don't accept that for my club. We have to move one and let the past in the past

The Messi case is one where you're forced to lie to these fans. If you tell them outright that Leo doesn't fit the modern football we want to see, these idiots will storm the office.

Then they'll vote for that idiot Font. He'll bring in that Messi with a 150 million-a-year salary. Then we'll see football like this:
We switch to a low block, because we have a player on our team who runs 6 km per match, so pressing is simply pointless. While he's walking, the other nine outfield players defend in their own half. Then we pray the opponent doesn't score. And if they don't, we pass the ball to Leo so he can come up with something.
