Like I said yesterday, I hope we just show them that we mean business and even if we do get eliminated tmrw, it will be very close on aggregate. Now I did not like the constant barrage of media and players talking about a come back it simply reminds me of the insane pr Madrid was doing before the 2nd leg to Arsenal which ofc led to their loss at home and elimination from the UCL.

Would play Raphi as false 9 and play Rashford on the left. Or vice-versa.

Afraid we won't have fresh legs for midifled if both Olmo and Fermin start. Frenkie out and Pedri likely not be ready for 90 mins. No Eric to plug the hole in #6.

Great memories. One of the first great come-backs I remember.
The most extraordinary game the club has ever seen, imagine going 3-0 down at home then 2-4 done to somhow win the game 5-4. This was how good Barcelona was in 1996-97, I have to say that this squad deserved more but a cup treble and 2 points away from the LaLiga title is also very very impressive. All due to Bobby Robson and Ronaldo Nazario absolutely cooking with the team unfortunately he couldn't stay due to his greedy agents.

Don Juan Laporta Estruch

Basta yaaaaaaa, Cabron ! y Bona nit 🥂
Can't believe some people are saying rest players and essentially throw the game. That goes against the whole ethos of the club and if we do that we will be labelled as weak mentally and rightly so.

A week after Juve came back from 3 goals down with 10 men and Atalanta did their own remontada, we are saying the mighty Barca should just give up because we are facing Atletico . Come on FFS what is this.

We should go all out for this and if we do I'm confident we will make it a very close and exciting game, if not turn it around completely.

The thing about flick ball is we could easily score 5 goals, so it's not completely over.

The thing about flickball is any team can score at least two against us.

So it's pretty close to being over.

5% chance of a comeback, maybe 10%.

Main issue that season were failed signings. Got many players in summer of 1996. Baia came in as one of the highest rated gks but was shaky and prone to silly goals and was dropped very next year. Couto and Blanc were supposed be proven and to make instant impact as CBS. Both were dropped by winter by Abelardo and Nadal.
That's where our problems lay entire season. Defense.

From 9 signings we made for that season only 2 were truly great. Ronaldo and Luis Enrique. Giovanni was overrated and Pizzi, while prolific, couldn't break in with Ronaldo at #9.
Who else we got? Stoichkov was done by then when we brought him back from Parma and Amunike was a silly buy.

0℅ chance 100℅ faith

I actually do believe even though it would take a miracle. Like many have pointed out it depends on
1) early momentum. We NEED to score a goal in first 15 minutes
2) which Atletico shows up. They are a hot and cold team. Won Betis away 5-0 and then lost 1-0 on Metropolitano few days later
3) if all players are available or we suffer more injuries

and of course, 4) if God is on our side and gives us some luck, instead of hitting crossbar 15 times and scoring 5 pictometre offside goals
And Lewa should be the starter for the miracle to happen.
Him, still delivering goals at this point of his life is a miracle in itself.
Consequentially, expecting a miracle to derive from an existing miracle already is the most logical thing, mathematically.
Do you concure? Please say yes and thank me...

IDK how I feel about our chances to remontada. May the team come out and play their hearts out. I just don't expect us to keep a clean sheet.
