I haven't met any, everyone I know says maldini is the greatest.

I met two that said Baresi was better and said it was fairly common belief amongst the Milan fans, thats what started this conversation.

One of my first favorites in the game. Was too young to appreciate Baresi in his prime, but I don't think I've seen any other defender combine the power and grace of Maldini.

Only Franco Baresi works there now. No other former players. That is sad. Milan have a great tradition and they completely let it go. So the new generation, they do not understand. There is all that history of the club but now it is different.

Interesting. Is he and Inzaghi on bad terms?

best defender i have seen in my lifetime .. he played effortlessly as a CB RB LB .. and looked world class in the 3 positions .. i have never seen anyone like that

That isn’t even prime Maldini either. The guy went up against prime Maradona in 80s and prime R9 in 90s.

A true football icon and there is no better defender in the history of the game.

I think Maldini's best is 2002-04 period. Not a dynamic left back like he used to be in 90s but he was incredibly complete defender, could be even a deep playmaker if needed.
