Anyone else sorta lost interest in NBA? The games are nowhere near as fun to watch as even 5 years ago. Maybe I'm losing interest and not finding any of these new players entertaining.
In Europe it was always hard to follow live NBA games 2-3 am local time. Sometimes I wake up at 5 am and catch SA Spurs games. But even they adopted the 3pt game as all of the rest of NBA.

There's no club identity anymore, the regular season feels dull with good teams playing on and off, while the poor teams trying to outtank each other for the draft. Also the commercial time-outs are killing me and my live feed is not running American commercials, but rather the most interesting idiots in the crowd, dancing to the music and you have to endure those for 5 minutes at least 10 times a game. I prefer YouTube highlights in recent years.

The sport needs a relegation system. That will be interesting.

P.S. - the Euroleague right now is much more competitive and entertaining IMO. NBA will always be on top, due to its legacy.

It's also ridiculous to me how all this whiny "load-management" is such a big factor for all these players. For a sport that's not that demanding compared to futbol, tennis, hockey, and a few others, the players are way too stuck up and try to be superstars. None of these players even take the regular season seriously like you said. Also there is nothing to lose since there's no relegations.

Need less regular season games and them counting way more. Will mean less money though so never happening. NBA players are way overpaid now for the product they are delivering.

Need proper rivalries and competitiveness.

Just seem to be no fire in the players. I know this generation are into social media and all the garbage surrounding it, but in other sports you still see that fire and passion, that competitiveness, wanting to be the best and prove everyone wrong.

Where is that in the NBA?

Maybe that's an issue too. I don't really remember a player as competitive as Kobe and others in his era. Sure there is Lebron and Curry, but they're getting old. Who out of these new players even seems to take the game seriously? ANT, Wemby, Brunson, even Luka, they're way too casual and seems like they are just out there for fun and not even trying that hard. It's weird to watch and something I've noticed too compared to LL/EPL and tennis where players seem to give their all for the win.

Even the finals last year felt a little too casual at times. I know exactly what you mean.

You could balance out having less games in regular season by having more cup competitions/games. Have that Emirates Cup be throughout the season kinda like CDR.

Yeah, I said it two pages back. There's way too many games in the regular season that don't mean enough. It's over twice as long as EPL/LL seasons and there isn't even a title at the end of the regular season.

NBA is also the most individual of team sports. Without superstars and interesting stories/debates surrounding them like there were with Lebron, there's not much about the league that's too exciting. There aren't passionate fanbases and rivalries keeping things interesting like NFL or EPL.

I don't think load management is that ridiculous. There's over 100 games for teams that go all the way and it's played on a harder surface with much heavier players than soccer.
