That's why CR's hype as "up there with Messi", "top 3 player of all time" will die down over the next 10 - 30 years. His legacy lives on stats and celebrity status but a world class forward for RM with no defensive duties as the main man will always score 1 goal per game and eventually break his records. Benzema during CR's last season: 12 goals in 47 games. Benzema at 35 with no Ronaldo around: 44 goals in 46 games, 15 goals in CL alone, Ballon d'Or frontrunner. Now you got Mbappe at 80 goals in 88 games for RM and he's only 26. 362 goals to go to break CR's goal tally for RM. Pretty doable. With 40 goals per season it's only 9 more season. He'd be 35 at that point. Very realistic.

With Messi you don't have to pull up statistics. You just show a video of his throughballs, dribbles AND as cherry on top point to his goalscoring tally. That's why his legacy will remain.

Obviously Barca fans already know the difference but this forum also attracts a couple of special needs people so this is just education for them.

Have to say turtle has been really really good individually, 2 good finishes and 13 goals so far is insane.
I think he chose the wrong team though, RM looks crap with him, the lack of pressing hurting them a lot.


And dont compare him with CR7 guys.
