Lionel "The Greatest of All Time" Messi V2

This is a common theme with the GOATs. In addition to insane natural talent, they have some truly special physical attributes (doesn't have to be pure muscles + height like Adama).

Pele was a specimen for his time. Had a huge leap/aerial game for a 5'8 guy, great durability and stamina.

Maradona's core strength and legs in some of those WC 86 games are next level. Also insane durability to tackles.

R9 prime, we all know.

Young Messi, we all know for acceleration, lateral movement/flexibility and durability.

This is why as much as I like Lamine, he simply ain't sitting at this table, forget the talent part.
Yamal can aim for Ronaldinho's build. Great strength and very good acceleration (not at Messi's level though).

He certainly has qualities to be an all timer.

How did these sleep at night? I wasn’t even in the game and I couldn’t sleep
Watched it live. I wouldn't call it a total sitter (though a guy with two good feet like him should be scoring) as he's further out than the penalty spot and he's facing the keeper. It's not like a 6 yard open net. But should still be dispatching it. The finish was a terrible scuff - it would have been better even if he had connected well and put it just past the post.

4-0 would surely have ended the tie. Not even Liverpool at Anfield would think they could score four or five from 4-0 down before the second leg (I know they did, but it's a different psychological concept going in 3-0 down than 4-0).

For me, the definition of a complete player.

Has the ability to affect anywhere in the middle third and the final third.
I suppose if being pedantic you'd say he isn't 'complete' as he cannot play as a defender.

But he is the ultimate complete attacker and orchestrator from anywhere from 30 yards from his own goal, as you imply.

There will never be a consensus that Messi is best ever.

Its the easiest question ever imho and still no agreement.

Which says to me that no other harder debate will also be solved.

I do believe Maradona is a legitimate contender to him. The only one. I'd also find it reasonable if someone still preferred Pele to both, though I'd disagree.

But I know most consider Messi the number 1 now. I do too but maybe there's some nostalgia for me with Diego.

I dont even know why I post the same nonsense 24/7. And then when someone disagrees with me in real life I say nothing.

There was a FIFA poll for best club 20th century and Real got 42%. What did 58% watch? Equestrianism?

That is actually the easiest poll ever. How are you going to solve tough close questions then?

okay, I sometimes act like a Messi fanboy too much, but it's not like I don't do it for Ronaldo.

Fair enough. I do actually agree Real Madrid are that, though I hate them and much prefer Barca.

I've been on here, on and off for 3 years. Been repeating same 8 sentences for those 3 years. Same shit posted different day as they said.

People will die on the hill that Ronaldo should have beaten Messi in 2012 when in reality Messi needed 30 (THIRTY) minutes less to contribute a goal or assist.

But but he had Xavi and Iniesta and Ronaldo had apparently Lee Cattermole and Nigel Reo Coker to provide for him.

That's such a fact. People act like Ronaldo didn't have great players too (even if they weren't quite as good as Xavi and Iniesta).

Plus, when you actually watch the games, Messi relied less on X and I, neymar etc than Ronaldo did on Modric, Kroos, Bale, Di Maria, Benzema,.

It is a bad faith point as Ronaldo has always been more reliant on service in general, than Messi

same stuff, argument, people, weather just a different day

This and Ronaldo should have an additional admin. It got really really AIDS and rubella like during 2018 world cup. Thank God I didn't have the balls to register until 2022.

Hahaha aye we go round in circles with the same stuff. Everything that has to be said about Messi and Cristiano was said many years ago, by football fans.
