I feel bitter we did not have a top goalkeeper in over 10 years. Oh what could have been.

It indeed was. But we were a completely different team back then stylistically.

The dude is incredibly good but am I allowed to be super nitpicky about him? I tried really hard to find any weakness in him, and what I found is that he has a small tendency to bounce the ball to random places after a save. He had such a ball this game, I think last game and you can occasionally see it in highlight videos. I mean, other goal keepers might not even have saved those in the first place.

Yes he is a bit reckless with his rebound control. Courtois is really good at making sure the balls he saves goes out of play. Something to work on.

I am a fan but let's be honest, shots went right into him.

His positioning had a lot to do with that too...just saying.

He was ok. No need to hype this one up. Was expected to get the shots he had gotten.
He also let one shot rebound way too much where it could be picked up by real player and score.

He also lost the ball in the air after the contact with Asencio, but ref should have whistled there.

But Ter Stegen would’ve probably leaked 2 more goals.

Yeah, it is decent performance this one, but not one to hype him for.
Nor to criticize him either.

He's still very young and his impact has been nothing short of sensational so far. Great presence and composure in goal.

This kind of keeper is necessary for the CL knockout stages.

If Lucas is anything similar and cost similar, we should just pounce on him. Be done with it.
My only problem with Lucas is he plays in the French league, and after all these years of us getting burnt by them french players. I just dont want us to risk again. LOL

Watched the PSG versus Marseille SuperCopa and Chevalier finally had an elite game.

But still, we're blessed Campos has more signings pull than LE and that PSG didn't go in big for Joan Garcia this Summer.

Garcia is a much better goalkeeper.

without doubt. It's not like I've ever watched Chevalier, but it's no comparison.
