We need a CB NOW! Contract expires next summer... wouldn't be expensive, tops 10M. Sure I'd rather get him for free, but beggars can't be choosers and we are in a pickle. Whoever thought Christiansen would string 2 months together without injury is to blame in this - oh and forget about Ara, dude can ef of searching for himself as long as he keeps away from Camp Nou.
But really... I haven't followed him, I watch maybe 2-3 games a week and Bournemouth are way down on my list. But judging from YouTube clips and some forums I've read he seems solid and we're in big trouble. Another plus is him speaking Spanish of course, we need somebody to settle in right away - he needs to hit the ground running.

We can forget about Guehi, sources say he wants a payday - Bayern and Pool are after him is rumored.
Senesi is 3-4 years older, Argentinian and wouldn't have close to the same demands as Guehi. From what I've heard only other club after him are Atletico, I don't think they would be willing to out-spend us on him. Senesi would have half a season to prove why he should be a starter or at worst a good rotation player - we wouldn't buy him to put him on the bench, one injury to any other of our CBs and we're starting Casado as CB lol...

My problem with this Senesi rumour is:-
- He isn't better than Schlotterbeck.
- And we are going for Senesi this winter, so we will be paying for him. And I don't think Bourmouth will be happy with anything less than 25-30m.
- Knowing us, if we buy Senesi, we wont look for another CB this summer.
- So we are stuck with Midgets at the back, for the foreseeable future. No, Araujo & Christensen don't count.
- We need height and WC at the back, Senesi isn't that. Adding 10-15m on the price of him can get us Schlotterbeck, who ticks every box. But we will have to wait till summer.
The only way I am happy with Senesi is, if come summer, Schlotterbeck and his salary demands are high, or he wants to play for some other team.
Or else it would be stupid to let go this massive market opportunity.
Agreed but we need to plug the hole now.
Senesi might flop, sure. But at least we won't lose money on him imo.

Sensei has 6 months of contract so doubt he will be more then 6-7mil.
Worst case we sell him for same amount on summer or summer 2027.
He is decent player, and if we get Schloterback in the summer we are covered really good.
Sensei, Schloterback, Cubarsi, Araujo?, G.Martin, E.Garcia...
I would rather try with him then extend Christensen contract what is written in last news.

I don't think we can get someone for that amount in the winter. And do we want to? Imagine they bring Senesi now, there is no chance they will bring a top CB in the summer.

I think we'll have alright money to spend next summer. Lewa is leaving, Christiansen's contract is up and hopefully at least one of Ara/Stegen is gone - we'll be alright.
