Honestly, I would rather have Martin and save the money, or add 10m on top and get Schlotterbeck.

We need a WC player who takes our defence one notch up for at least 5 years. This player isn't that.

I don't think he will be lower than 30-35m, seeing its a EPL club. Would rather add 10m or so and go for Schlotterbeck.
Every aspcet Nico is a better deal. Age, ability, leadership.
The only thing Pau has is he's LaLiga proven and experience.

We have been linked with him for years even when he was at Villarreal.

But in my opinion? Not that big of an upgrade to what we already have. He's very similar to the other CBs we already have, except left-footed just like Martin is.

He's more experienced and more proven than Martin is, but the kicker is that they aren't all that different from each other in the grand scheme of things.

I would hope if we are going to spend what money on better targets instead of just buying another retread of what we already have.
