Ibra was around 40M + Eto, not 60M + Eto. Eto was valued around 20-30M at the time due to being in his last year of contract.

Ibra was great player, but he always needed a team built around him rather than being a piece of the puzzle.

And when Pep decided to move Messi centrally it basically meant Ibra role declined even further.

Individually, both Eto and Ibra are comparable, but Eto was a winning player who was willing to give it his all and do whatever it takes to win, even if he had nig ego of the pitch.

Eto was an absolute legend. I don't think he's appreciated enough at the club.
He and Rivaldo don't get enough love from the fan base. I think their stats are similar but Eto won more because he was in a much better team.
Back on topic, we are only 3 points from the top despite being all chaos and calamity.
If we can stabilise, minimise injuries and regain some form we can win la liga.
Cl is a different story. We need a squad overhaul to win that trophy or we need to get lucky.

I remember when :valverde2:was here, winning back to back league titles and most fans were moaning about how boring the style of play was.

Some even proclaimed that they would rather we played more exciting football and lost because exciting football is what attracted them to become a Barca fan in the first place.

This week we have enjoyed 12 goals in our 2 games, whilst our main rivals have bored their fans to tits watching their team try to get a shot on target, let alone score an actual goal.

The criticism of :flick2: is, for the most part, unfair. Particularly considering how hamstrung he has been in the transfer market.

I guess it's true what they say, some people are never happy. :lamine:

Barca changed in 2nd half.

Slightly deeper line, less offside chaos, allowed defence to track runs more and allowed FDJ to play as DM in front of CBs.

Celta didn't create anything as Barca defended with ball and less chaotic risks inviting the through ball.

Yeah, Barca played pragmatic in the second half. This approach is work in progress, Flick realized his blitzkrieg approach in reality is kamikaze football without fit Pedri.

If Messi is back on a 6 month loan......

How would he fit into the Flickball system tactically? Would it actually work in the CL and LL? @Birdy @jamrock @FCBfan22
Raphinha is desperately needed, Ferran would need to be the main striker and Lamine needs to do more off the ball to make this work.

It will definitely work in LL, CL might be a different story depending on the factors that I mentioned.
