Our philosophy 100% isn't to go out there and be shaky against very little team we face, which was the case even last season just to be clear.

Its to go out there and dominate all phases of the game, to be proactive & not reactive is really the corner stone.

Flick only had half the puzzle right

With what Puyol, Dani Alves, Abidal/Alba, Marquez, Mascherano or Pique.
No DM whatsoever either. Most of the season with semi retired GK too.
With what Messi? Or once in a lifetime or never Xavi- Iniesta?

With what fucking budget?

Some of you are out of your minds.

Don't think even Cruiff set the team up the way Flick does. He's quite revolutionary. Pep could be consideted anticruifista by this standard. Robson probably closest thing to this "fuck defense" philosophy though not sure if by choice.

We dont speak enough about the 2nd half, absolutely impressive control of the game. Overall over 3.3xG while Celta had 0.58xg

We need to be more clinical with our chances but otherwise best game since a while, pressing worked much better + players get their form back

Hansi is doing his work off the pitch ✅️

No one is asking him to be peak Barcelona, it's a statement on what our philosophy as a club is, and it's certainly not flick ball even if it's played to 100%, and you give all the best players in the world.

He will still have a leaky defense has very job he's had in his career has shown.

Is it closer to the Barcelona philosophy that mister & xavi, sure.

But a complete disregard for defending isn't Barcelona football either.

The quality of defenders at our club is appalling. I think Flick is making them look better than they actually are. This defence would absolutely crumble if we play a low block. None of them are prime Maldini or even Chielini.
People don't talk about this but personality wise Flick is probably a near perfect fit for the club. He's strict but not regimented. He's personable and has a sense of humour. He's also alot cooler under pressure than others. I have yet to see another manager enjoy himself at the club but Flick appears to do so. This could all change quickly but I would really like to see him in a more long term project with quality players signed. His system requires hard working, physical players with a winning attitude. I hope we sign these players.

Another factor to take into consideration is that we are playing with our third preferred goalie, a semi-retired smoker whose performances are incomparable to our #1. As soon as he returns, as long as he matches his pre-injury performances, it will make a big difference in how many goals we concede.

Yea a top keeper is critical to his success & what the team is most missing, regardless of who the coach is.

Garcia can't come back soon enough, hopefully he picks up where he left off

I wonder how barcaforum would react if the infamous 0-4 loss to Milan in 1994 final happened in today.

Pep is the GOAT cause he knows how to change and make some tweaks so his philosophy wins most of the time.

If we get back to

Raphinha lewa yamal, with olmo finding some form and Garcia being back, we can win the league.

Need Gavi back for my double prediction though (if you know, you know) and flick to be more sensible at curial times during games.

Usual folk trying to cover all bases.

Pick holes in everything Flick does but predict Barca will win in case Flicks Barc win.

A bit part player is not deciding Barcas season just as he was an irrelvance last year,.

2nd half we improved our pressing anticipation. And we look good.

Bring in Raphinha in the team, who is a pressing god, just not with legs but with his intelligence, and we will improve even better.

And fresh legs from the bench and that helps too. That's why some sub like Gavi would be great. He is a hound, like Fermin.

Injuries have crippled us.

The only thing I will criticise Flick for. Not every injury is in his hands, but if its so many, one has to do introspection into their training regimen.

I don't mind his high line. I haven't seen us playing this good football since Lucho days, and I am not going to complain that he changes. Since the rumour of him coming to us, we all knew he was a "my way or the highway" kinda coach. And we got that.

On top, he lost his main defender.

We are still in contention for LaLiga while playing poorly. 5-point difference isn't much. And UCL it doesn't really matter what happens in the group stage, but we are still in top 12.
So with all the doom and gloom, we are still in contention.

Would have hopped we didn't get injuries. But it is what it is.
