Since 2016-2017, Real Madrid have been awarded a whopping 91 penalties. 20 more than any other club.

That is a whopping 28 percent more penalties awarded than to any other club in La Liga. You would think Barcelona, having had the greatest dribbler in history, and being the most attacking team in La Liga, would be close.

But not a bit of it. Infact, Valencia, Villarreal, Sociedad and Bilbao have all been awarded more penalties than Barcelona in that time.

Real Madrid are just a few penalties shy of having been awarded DOUBLE the penalties than that of their city rivals Atleti.

Explain that one, apologists ?

The only when the word whopping can be used is for that 2015/2016 season with Barca netting undisputed 19 penalties in a single season!
